The story of Night Birde breaks my heart. Her no good husband divorced her in 2019 when the Dr said she only had 3-6 months to live. Between the divorce & cancer, she couldn’t handle it and had a breakdown. The Dr was wrong & she fought her way back for 3 more yrs. She encouraged others & became famous before she passed. RIP Night Birde you were & are an inspiration. Such a beautiful soul. RIP

It's the 1 audition & shared msg that stuck & brings me to tears each time. So much sympathy & yet strength for her to suffer a divorce during cancers making her so fragile & needing her partners love & care. Sure hope she had family & friends. R.I.P my dear 😪🙏❤

Having stage 4 bone cancer (I was told in September 2020 that I had a 2% chance of making it to my 50th birthday), I immediately connected to Nightbirde. Not only did I think she was a beautiful young lady, but a beautiful soul. When I heard she decided to drop out of the competition to focus on her health, I cried HARD and then when I heard that she passed away in February, I cried again. But her faith and her spirit will live on forever. I didn't know that her husband of 5 years divorced her after her diagnosis and I pray he has lived to regret that decision and ask for forgiveness. By the way, 18 days ago, I celebrated my 51st birthday. So as Nightbirde said "A 2% chance is better than a 0% chance!"

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 on my 49th birthday. My husband left me in the thick of my battle in 2018. There has been nothing about the last five years that’s been ok. I saw her addition when it aired and I cried for hours the most cleansing cry of my life. It was the first time in five years I had hope and peace and forgiveness in my heart. She passed away on my birthday this year. As my battle with cancer comes to its end I play her videos and song everyday and pray I can show half as much dignity and grace. I now listen in the dark for the birds to sing.

Absolutely. I cannot watch her appearances on AGT without crying. And just like the crowd and all the judges, I feel touched so deep within my soul. I also get completely silent, captivated by her pure soul. I know she has a very special place in Heaven. One must be absolutely heartless not to be touched by her halo. And all these people are beautiful. As people say, our Creator plucks His most beautiful flowers first. But Nightbirde, she just inspires so many people on so many levels with her humble words of perseverance. She is that person who wins the race of life and then turns around to carry her fellow fighters over the finish line. One in a million. No money is worth who she was/is. That is why in my eyes she will always be the overall winner of AGT...

Nightbirde was a wake-up call to everyone that came across the footage of her audition, be it live in that audience, on television, or online several weeks after the fact (as I did). She was so articulate and passed along not only a contagious positivity, but even moreso a wisdom way beyond her years in that song and her inspirational words. It left everyone breathless. Especially in our divisive times, it's almost impossible that one figure becomes almost universally beloved, but Nightbirde accomplished that in just five minutes. She'd better have been given her pair of wings when she arrived up there.

I saw Nightbird for the first time shortly after one of the best friends I’ve ever had passed away from breast cancer, she was only 30 and we had served in Iraq together. Nightbird sent such a beautiful message that was on par with everything she was about. I wasn’t and have not been the best person and I was the rebellious one to her complete and utter positive personality. Nightbird and her song hit me right in the feels. Their personalities were very similar. I still have Nightbird’s song on every playlist I have for training (not the army anymore I’m a dog musher and spend a lot of time on the trail which is my own therapy). RIP NIGHTBIRD RIP NATALIE

@@callacreek6711 I’m pretty sure it would’ve been the cancer that did the killing. The treatments make someone sick because they are very aggressive at targeting cancer cells, but also can damage healthy cells, therefore the person gets sick from the treatment. Once they get to a certain point in the treatment however, the treatment itself becomes too much for the body to handle, this still doesn’t mean that it’s the treatment that kills them! The CANCER is the ultimate killer in the end because it makes the body too weak to handle the treatment any longer! Do some research before spouting off bullshit about $700,000 being wasted on trying to save someone’s life! Because I can guarantee you’d do the same thing if you were trying to keep your child or yourself alive!

I can’t imagine leaving someone when they need you the most. Marriage is for sickness and health, yet she got sick and he left. That’s not ok. My boyfriend also had cancer and I stuck by him every step of the way. He wasn’t as bad as she is and I’m not belittling her battle in anyway, I just can’t imagine leaving someone in that situation. My boyfriend luckily beat his cancer and the past 3 years his scans have been cancer free I wish the same was true for Nightbirde. She was a lovely woman. Her husband should be ashamed for the rest of his life.

Two nights ago, I stumbled onto Nightbirde quite randomly in the middle of the night. I immediately started writing a poem with her performance on repeat. I then found out this morning that Jane passed away. She has been on my mind non-stop, and is gonna inspire some more writing out of me. I haven't read this yet, just wrote it while watching her performance... "Found In Her Voice" Have you ever heard a voice? One that is moving Moving through time In the nature of the story From the singer's tale A sweet optimism Regardless of trying signs Efflorescence in glow In her beautiful tone She penetrates with humanity Encapsulated in angelic compare At her voice You surely stare Into the beauty of life Locked into the gaze Of timeless eyes Her voice comes to life In visual harmony Stripping you into silence In a state of overcome Drifting into awe At times your eyes are open At times they are closed Seeing her voice Seeing her shine Coming together in refine A gorgeous humility instilled In a land beyond mind The breathscape of her song Storied in convey Expressed from the depths Of a heart in elusive define The vibrancy in emotion That she radiates divine That beautiful optimism Letting us know it's OK To be lost sometimes In a reassuring infuse You find yourself knowing A dwelling belief That she might be right Expressed in a voice Hopeful optimism In a hard time And you see this beautiful While she starts to fly In front of the world She takes flight From her soul's reside Stunning into silence The world outside As it looks on As she soars high Captivated infinity Astonishing affinity Captured in her song Expression in divine She makes you find Your human side While she sings She makes you draw in sigh Gasping in pause As you embrace her time In front of the world While she flies up high And you look inside From the gift of her voice The passion of her soul reside In the face of a turbulent find You look to her and see The lifetime in possibility Shimmering ripples Astonished in eternal kind And her smile... The way it's defined And everything feels right Despite her fight She belts out her soul From that place of divine And a cliche does dwell "At a loss for words" While you watch her fly Contemplating how to define What you're witnessing so fine Because she does defy The way she shines When she sings to the sky Her voice carrying true It surely rivets you Into a retrospect Of beauty to be found An illuminating surround To answer the question What is life supposed to be about? Within her you can see Everything life is meant to be Humanity defined Emotional transcend And you believe As her voice does embrace With her echoing grace That it's OK And can be alright To be lost sometimes Even in fragile elegance She picks you up And lifts you into time While she soars up high With the world in awe In an emotional draw Repetition sets in The feeling of optimism This beautiful being A hopeful infuse She conjures within From her inspiring exude Making you see the truth Of life's true intent Carried beyond all words In the sound of her voice And that look in her eyes Expressed in gentle emotion An ethereal vibrancy Her transcending notion To convey to us all That it's OK And can be alright To be lost sometimes

But then again to his defense you never know she could have told him to move on there's a lady here where I live he played in the NBA and she came down with MS she had five kids she knew it would get worse and then after her youngest child turned 10 she told him she didn't want him anymore she wanted a divorce he's the mayor now of one of our major cities out here outside of Cleveland and one of the suburbs and a lot of people are doing what is going on here chastising him and hating him but in the end she got on the radio station and said that she told him to move on with his life she knew her life would never be anything for him to live a good life and she did not want him to spend his life taking care of her so she forced him to divorce her and move on with his life... And a lot of people said that he should not have divorced her but she admittedly said that he had no choice because that's what she wanted so he can go on and live up better life since then he has not gotten married and it took him years to start dating because she just rejected him in every way.... So I'm not saying that this happened here I'm just saying sometimes people do the strangest things so you never know 🙏🏾❤️

May she rest in peace, but no she was not an angel as angels are another creation and not humans. We can honor people without putting another creation on them.

I remember her audition. A beautiful haunting voice. So sad to hear of her demise.

Nightbirde was such a beautiful singer and beautiful person. She came so far, but she could have gone further. Unfortunately her time came too soon, but she made an impact that some people take an entire lifetime to make. rip 💕

And most people don’t, even in their entire life. She only took a moment of her life and made it such a powerful impact on how to live life and staying positively happy even when there’s so much pain and sufferings in life. She needed no special presentations or make some Martin Luther like speeches to get her message through, her personality and her positive attitude towards life speaks for itself. "You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy”, just that simple choice to be happy is gonna inspire generations after another for decades, and it’s gonna have even bigger impact on the people sharing the similar condition she had. Rip nightbird, gone too soon but you’ll always be remembered as your story continues to inspire many life’s and most importantly the people affected by cancer. 🌹✌️

Even now, I cry when watching this brave brave woman give her gift to mankind. It's ok, such a beautiful gift to us all. It seems anything but alright that she is no longer with us. Fly on Nightbirde.
