It's true, cross-cultural marriages are not always easy, but I think having a sense of humor makes all the difference, and I think you definitely have the right sense of humor about it all! I appreciate you sharing about all of your mom's input when your baby was young! I also cook 'freestyle' like you and my husband always says, "Well, I'll never have the exact same meal again!"

#1 - Sounds like she is yelling at me and accuses me of raising my voice when just trying to get a word in (at 1/2 her volume) - married 23 years. Mother in law lived with us for 5 years, then brother-in-law 5 years. I didn’t understand my mother-in-law’s habits/sayings until I stayed with her 3 times in China and now miss having her around.

This is an honest vlog! Chinese are indeed too loud, but that's something you think he would have noticed before he got married?

Hahaha indeed yes, but he has the right to complain after getting married, and you know French people complain a lot, in general😂

No not that they are loud, they are insulting as well. My wife compains every day after moving from China for 10 years. Compains about something I am doing not as they would do in China. When I say, okay then, show me how to do it, she complains that she has to do everything.

Funny you said that cos my English husband says I’m loud ( I’m Malaysian I suspect you are Malaysians or Singaporean) And I’m learning French too

WHY do I have to save garlic crumbs?

Thank goodness I don’t have a mother ( my mum died young) who will interfere with our marriage- my mother in law has passed away too so at least we don’t have that issue

Both my parents passed away before I met my wife in China. Still she wants to get into it with my sisters, trying to create some Asian TV drama nonsense. As a result I hardly communicate with any members of my family as she's alienated all of them.

Dites á votre mari- don’t “slur” your words or speak so fast - that what I ( as a Malaysian ) finds annoying about the French!!😆
