@@Sniper_Man_Clipsmaybe if you apply to a daycare job that could get you started I worked at a Kindercare business and there are a lot of parents who will trust in you if you show them you care for their child on a deeper level than just being a teacher. I have my first babysitting job today and I don't even work at the center anymore! Good things come when u wait and be genuine and kind.

As someone with MANY brothers who were shy when first meeting me (they are step brothers) I recommend using a softer voice and asking him questions like “Do you like to draw?” And “Do you like cars?”. If the boy has a room that is very cars themed I recommend getting a few cool hot wheels that you and him can play with. Helping him adjust to you by learning what he enjoys is comforting and helps kids become familiar with you!

Hi! Heres some tips 1. Get there early. Nobody wants a late babysitter 2. Have a 1st aid kit in case the kid gets a boo boo 3. With kids that young try to do crafts to keep them occupied at ALL times. Also, u can put the 4 yo down for a nap! (If the parents don't mind)

Make sure you have the parents number incase of an emergency and ask them if there is a second person to call incase you can't get a hold of them, like a neighbor! (if you haven't already) I would recommend taking a babysitting certificate class, where they show you what to do in different situations and what to pack and all of the important stuff. Ask for allergies and any special accommodations or routines they would like you to follow. I would also recommend wearing comfy and washable clothes since your watching young ones, your almost bound to get something on your clothes. Also don't be on your phone the whole time and don't have the kids on electronics the whole time, your there to watch them and play and take care of them. Keep your phone charged incase of an emergency or if you have to call for a backup friend. -From a babysitter in training to get certified

Bring toys that the child will enjoy playing with :) Do what interests them while being reasonable about it, be kind and gain respect both ways, give the child easy to chew healthy foods, and tell the parents everything that you did. :)

honestly you shouldn’t be babysitting at 12 yrs old, or less, mothers helping maybe but seriously try to get out of it you’re putting yourself and the child at risk
