HI TREVOR time. like i always say live and learn or learn and live. flying a paramotor is a bit like life. always learning. the good and the bad. Trevor steel is a good instructor just like Dell Schanze. I am getting older. still trying to be wiser.... I do not like the cold...even thou pilots can fly more... and not for me. ill leave to the young ones. Happy New Year. more peace around the world. and no wars etc. P.S . always in good weather. only. over time .then progress. turns gentle. can add weight shift.. control the wing. don't let the wing control you😉

As for the third skill, tell me why paragliders are not as easy to handle as kitesurfing kites, which stay easily above your head?

Lots of differences. Easily keeping a kite overhead might be a slight exaggeration. After you get the hang of each they are similar and BOTH look deceptively easy, lol. The length of the lines between the “pilot” and their wing, vs say the kiter and their kite has a bit to do with it. Also keep in mind the purpose built shape and size differences. Traction kites are ALWAYS U shaped (and typically much smaller), vs a paraglider or wing which is comparatively flat (and typically MUCH larger). Both are fun, but flight with a paraglider and having the ability to turn and or maintain / control your altitude is quite a bit different than being pulled with a kite, which when leaving the surface and done correctly is more of a pop upwards followed by a somewhat controlled “fall”.

@@J10on4ds With all due respect, while new kite surfers can handle the kite above their head after 15 minutes of practice, new paragliders need 15 hours. I am not talking about mastering skills. They are designed differently, one for easy handling, the other for effective flying. I wish it were possible to do both in one wing. I cannot master paraglider ground handling after years.
