5 Beeps on Startup Error And No Display Fix On Desktop Computer. Common Problem Solved.

My man! You fixed my computer! I'm no expert but I've been changing my computer hardware since I was a kid and it's the first time I saw something like this. With a recent-ish ASRock B450 Pro4 while moving the whole motherboard/CPU/RAM assembly to a different case (and the whole thing worked perfectly in a different case before moving it). Refuses to boot with 5 long beeps. Fans spinning but no signal for the display. Everything well plugged. Tested with different PSU and GPU. Tried to clear CMOS multiple ways. Then I do it your way by booting without RAM after a clear and after that it just works. Feels kind of miraculous.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video!!! As soon as I finished watching, I unplugged and dismantled my CPU, removed the hard drive and CMOS battery and discovered the CMOS battery was absolutely DEAD and immediately replaced it, put everything back together and my CPU started up as normal as it should. Now I have all my components back in place and everything is operating normal. THANK YOU!

Great News! (note: I tried these steps and they did not work). However, at one point there is a banner at the top of the screen that says if these steps fail, then try powering on with the CMOS battery in, and the RAM removed (he does not verbally mention this though...it's like an after -thought added to the video). You'll get the 2 Beep RAM error. Next, power down, add the RAM back, and power back up. This worked! I'm so glad I found this video. I spent hours trying to resolve (5 beeps and a blank monitor). Everything pointed to having to replace the motherboard if replacing the CMOS battery did not work (something I would not even attempt to do as it's an older PC). Again, thanks for your help!!! Greatly appreciated.

Yes. This way bios will store new error code of 2 beeps. And after inserting RAM, computer will start normally and works well. ( Thanks for commenting )

@@floralbbala1718 I rearranged my ram sticks left it off for a while and made sure they were pushed in properly and turned on my pc and it worked

Basically just 1. removing ram 2. booting pc 3. removing second ram 4.booting pc 5. inserting both rams 6. booting pc worked for me!

Hey guys! The fix for me was removing the processor and rubbing the back of it with a eraser. I think the contact pad has collected some dust. (ONLY DO THIS IF THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CPU DOES NOT HAVE PINS AND IS FLAT. ONLY IF YOUR MOTHERBOARD HAS PINS)

Sir I have same kind of problem I recently installed windows 11 and turned on secure boot and after that it beeps 5 times and there is no display I tried all the ways you have mentioned in the video and I can't even reach to the Bios screen if you know any solution kindly tell . Regards

Remove CMOS battery, remove power Cables. Press and hold power button for 1 minute. (if you are not in hurry) keep the system without CMOS battery for one day. Make sure that CMOS battery has 3V.

Sir... Can you help me! My pc suddenly turned off while i am working! And i hear 2 long beep and 3 short beep! According to hp beep code, it says faulty memory! So i checked my both ram slots, the culprit was one my ram! I just removed it and tried booting with single ram! My pc started! And from then i am trying to add 2nd ram but same issue happening (2 long beep, 3 short beep) no display.. p.s - i tried it with multiple ram Sticks3200mh (supported by board) And I Checked Both Slots Are Fine! Also cleared bios! Can't figure it out what should be the issue here?

Well, I'm the Oddity out because it did not fix the computer. I did the step he said three times. Each time after I shorted the dip and the battery pins then replaced the Ram back into its holder.. I got the five beeps so it did NOT work for me.. suggestions please, anybody? everybody? thank you in advance

Try both ram separately in each slot. Make sure both ram has same clock speed.

Accidently kicked my hp computer and it froze so I turned it off and back on and it started beeping so I unplugged the power cord and waited a minute and plugged it back in and it started working
