I give you a example, I'm in a group (3 in total) doing a work for college and the stress of we are using a new software and the teacher is learning with us and the dead line of 2 weeks, the 2 weeks already with other tests (exams) of other subjects, make one of the members (a girl) start crying because of all that I wrote above. The question is what is the best behavior in a situation like that? BTW I give her space, other colleges start saying to keep calm because everything gonna be OK.

frankly until i watched this video i hadn't noticed that i was doing any of this (tho i do almost all of this to everyone) and it is cool to realized why i do some of the things that just come naturally. The 5th one about looking into the eyes of the person you are attracted to does indeed work so when you are trying to attract someone think about nervousness as something that is a tool and a chain that holds you back and just look directly into their eyes, ask them to look into yours, and say the dumbest thing you humanly can XD it works for me and it is hilarious!

"Casually touch them." No. Absolutely not. DO NOT fucking touch me unless I know you super well. That shit skeeves me out so BAD. "Availability/Open body language." Nope. I'm a very "closed" person, and I only allow those in who I feel have earned and deserve it. Been burnt far, FAR too many times to be freely open like that again. "Be a leader." No. I don't like leading. It's uncomfortable and it's not "me." It's just not the kind of thing I'm made for. "Smile." I mean... I try? Depression's a bitch though, and I can only push through so hard with the mask before the cracks show through. "Maintain good eye contact." Nope. Also mega uncomfortable for me. Legitimately physically painful to do, and it's something I can only do in very short bursts. "Crack a joke." That's literally all I do for the most part. Humor's basically the only thing I have to cope and get people to stay around me.
@end_phoenix40072 жыл бұрын
Ok I can really understand the eye contact one, so basically I hate eye contact unless it's with someone i have known for years or so it's fine but if your just like a random person who has decided to talk to me and make eye contact across the room, don't it just makes me uncomfortable. Like if you accidentally end up starting at someone what do you do. You can't look away because it's eye contact, meaning there looking at you too so they will notice you immediately look away and think "huh that's weird." And you can't just keep holding the eye contact because that makes it weird and just turns into a staring contest. And then what about the times you're lost into the depths of your thoughts and end up starting at someone. Do you go and say "hey I wasn't starting at you, I was lost in the depths of my mind until time and space didn't exist." Or just say nothing wondering the whole day if they think your crazy. Anyways thanks for reading this far, this was a very long comment to make so thanks. (I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks like this?)

Just some questions for the "Maintain good eye contact." What if you are really nervous and couldn't make proper eye contact? Is there tips on how to maintain good eye contact for someone you like ?

As a male, I will never use number 1, that can cause unnecessary misunderstanding.

1. Casually touch them 2. Show availability and have open body language 3. Be a leader 4. Smile when you can 5. Maintain good eye contact

I do that open body language thing. I also do this thing where I walk about a meter per second slower than the average pedestrian speed, as though I'm walking through molasses. I respond to people slowly, not because I'm processing the world slower, but to convey the impression of significance: turning from "you just caught my attention. Make it count" to "you just caught my attention. You matter." The opposite of a small woodland creature, twitching and chittering like a lightweight.

This is an instruction video of what not to do, for me. I want nobody to be attracted to me. I want nobody to like me. I want nobody to hate me. I simply want humans to not acknowledge me at all. One is far safer alone than with someone else around.

To the worthwhile person seeing this, Don’t allow the past and current pains and hurts stop and define you. You’re more than a conqueror. Rise up and put yourself together. Keep pushing your future depends on it. I wish you all the best in life ❤️. Love is the greatest.

Isn't it kind of schizophrenic? On one side a slight touch seems to make us more attractive and is kind of a social skill, on the other side we get accused of harassment if we do so....
@kriss5812 жыл бұрын
You don't get accuse of anything if you touch the shoulder of someone for one second, don't exaggerate. Just don't make the other uncomfortable by touching part who are more intimate (hips, legs,...) And not over do it (can feel intrusive) and it will be alright

The thing is you ARE NOT. I used to be the same way then I started genuienly smiling and it got me so many compliments, never would have imagined me smiling helped someone or made them feel good. I forget what I look like and just show how happy I am you should try it to. Looks dont just make you beautiful your personality, your work ethic, your mind and soul everything but your looks make you beautiful..

Well, I don't like being touched by strangers. I'm not always available due to school. I always try to talk to others with confidence. It ends up getting in conflict. I can never get along in groups except 1. I hate my face, so I don't like the way I smile. And it's really hard to make eye contact due to my autism.
