I AM SO HAPPY YOU PUT CANADIAN PRICES IN YOUR VIDEOS! i feel like no one does it and its actually very useful! I'm so sad about the colourpop liquid lipsticks, I have a few shades. I find that I can wear them for a couple hours but its always a struggle reapplying because my lips are already so crusty. I also agree about the Anastasia ones, I only have the shade "spicy" and it also makes my lips look super crusty. The Ofra ones are my favorite I literally want to buy the whole shade range

Loved it! You totally read my mind with this video! I think you should do a 5 best/worst series: lipsticks, eyeliners, lip pencils, eye pencil, brow products, eyeshadows, blushs etc. There are so many products/brands out there that it would be really nice to have a compilation of the best and worst so we (regular mortals) only spend our money on what's worth it.

The Balm's liquid lipsticks are amazing. They smell like Thin Mints, go on evenly and opaque with one coat, feel like you have nothing on your lips, don't dry out your lips, and lasted on me for 9+ hours.

Some people swear by the ColourPop Ultra Matte, but I love what you said about the ABH ones, you liked them at first because that's what you thought they were supposed to feel like. I feel like that's what most people go through.

I don't like the Colour Pop ultra matte formula either, but I love the colors, so I sacrifice the matte part but applying my Blistex lip medic balm, then I put on the Colour Pop Ultra matte on top. It won't dry matte, it will transfer and kinda just stay like how a Colour Pop Ultra satin would -- I don't know if this trick will work for everyone, but it does for me so I thought I'd share (:

stila patina is one of my absolute favorite shades.. and i have so many liquid lipsticks! my tube is pretty much empty, and as much as i loved the color i don't think i'll repurchase. you mention that it's super drying- but i actually didn't have that problem! for me it got too crumbly too quick/wasn't long lasting. my stila aria bled alot every time i wore it too. like you, i thought that's how liquid lips wer, and dealt with it. but obviously we learned a lot since then, lol. i agree with you on the colourpop ones... hands down they're god awful. i remember when they first released their liquid lips and everyone went nuts, and i purchased like 6 shades right away. ended up throwing them out because they were like f'n sandpaper on my lips, it was soooooooo bad. idk how people wear that formula :/ :/ favorite formulas hands down is KVD and jefree star!! i finally ordered scorpio- i'm so excited. i remember commenting on one of your old videos saying you need to try the JS liquid lips! idk if you remember that, haha. love you!!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo

Samsies! I always get compliments when I wear patina but I was so soo disappointed that I pumped out $25 and it wasn't that long wearing but I kept it because of the shade. I didn't feel the dryness at all either. It was really comfortable on the lips- almost as if nothing were on them but it transferred on my straws and food! Still on the search for a comfortable & long wearing liquid lipstick so will definitely give smashbox/jouer/JS a try!

rivka they've reformulated the matte lips! I bought one of the old formula and it wasn't my favorite but I kept wearing it for the color but now I have like 6 of the new formula and I love them! They're still a little drying but they stay all day! Try 1 of the new formula before totally giving up on them

I definitely agree that the new Smashbox liquid lipsticks are so fantastic! After all the raving everyone has done about Jouer I was sadly a little let down, I found the line to be kind of inconsistent. There are quite a few indie brands that I think really deserve more love, like Give Me Glow Cosmetics and Makeup Monsters, their quality is fantastic, they’re long lasting but still comfortable on the lips! 💋💋💋

I heard many people talk about theBalm liquid lipsticks Meet Matt(e) Hughes and I can confirm that they are one of the best liquid lipsticks that i have ever tried. they are very long lasting and the shades that they come in are just BOMB. I even ate pizza once with one of them on and it didn't go anywhere so they are definitely my faves. And ones that i don't like either are the Maybelline ones. I can agree with you that they smell suuuper intense and are really uncomfortable to wear. But thank you for this video it was really helpful😘😘😘

I really like the Tarte Tartiest Lip Paints! I have it in TBT and it's amazing. They're creamier on the lips, and much more comfortable. Not as long lasting as the Smashbox, but still pretty good.

Totally agree on your top 5 and the reasons for it. I also like the Gerard formula for similar reasons. The first time I tried them, I thought holy crap, it's like nothing is there and I'm not dried out at all. Of course, shortly after my order came, I saw all the controversy about how they turned into a nasty online troll to a KZbinr who didn't like their products...so I'm really torn on them because their products really are top notch.

I think their products are hit or miss personally. I no longer support them but I have a few of their glosses and I find them to just be okay. They also began to leak on me after a month or two.

The only thing I've tried from GC are the lip glosses and I HATED them so much. Would never purchase again, especially after seeing Manny and Jen Gerard be nasty, vile human beings lol

What controversy ? I had never heard bad stuff about GC. Personally I own almost all the shades of their Hydra matte liquid lipsticks and the only one I don't like because it's not opaque enough is Ballet slipper. But I'm in love with the other ones, they actually last all day and even live through the swimming pool, they apply wonderfully on my lips, smell amazing and do not dry them out at all... I don't understand why some people don't like them :(

Cocolagaffe18 A quick google search for "gerard cosmetics controversy" will give you few articles recapping what happened last year. I wasn't aware until after I had ordered from them. And I enjoy what I have purchased. But now I choose to spend my money on companies whose character I trust a little more. Personal decision for me. I don't think any less of someone who orders from them...I mean, it's makeup and it's fun. :-)

I love my lipsticks and lipgloss because I always thought that lips shouldn't feel dry. A truck I use when wearing extremely dry liquid lipsticks is to first put a really thick layer of my lip balm on & let it dry then put on a regular creamy lipstick then later the liquid lipstick right on top. It layers and feels great

i agree with you for the colourpop ultra matte lippie and the stila one, i felt like they were crumbling on me all the time! but i do love the ultra satin lippie and the matte x formula of their lippie stix! so good! they stayed on my lips all day and looked perfect even after a full day out with pizza and drinks 💋

One of my favorite liquid lipsticks is the Maybelline Vivid Matte liquid lipsticks. I have never noticed a smell before, they have amazing pigmentation, feel creamy and u don't need a ton of product to coat your lips. The only thing is they don't dry all the way matte. But I love them!

Ugh! I've never had a problem with colour pop. I love the color selection! But... I NEVER wear any liquid lipstick without lip balm! I always put some lip balm before applying my makeup & leave it on til I'm finish. By then it has absorbed & if I still feel the balm kinda of think on my lips & just press my lips together 'til it's kinda of gone, then I put lipstick. I wear lip balm even if I wear regular lipstick! It truly works for me 😊😊💄💄💄💋💋💋

I like this top 5 series. This is really helpful because I've been afraid of trying liquid lipsticks. I don't like the dry lip look. I've heard good things about smashbox and Jouer and you just sealed the deal. I'm going to invest in them. Thanks!!

I'm actually glad you mentioned the colourpop liquid lipsticks-- I tried one color, and they drying! so awful. It made my lips dry and cracky, It took a week to recover from it. Thanks for posting this video Jamie, I want to try the Smashbox and Jouer, I have been eyeing the smashbox ones ;)

Also what sucks about the Maybelline vivid mattes (for those who don't care about the smell) is that they NEVER dry down. They are more of an opaque gloss and even then the darker shades do not apply evenly. Though I will say that they do stain the lips so if you are able to get an even finish and they rub off during the day, the stain underneath could allow you to get away without reapplying

I think they have reformulated the colourpop ultra mattes, because some of the ones I have gotten more recently are way way way more comfortable. The best formulation of the ultra matte I've tried is in the Kathleen lights Aquarius collection (Aquarius 2). It's literally so smooth and comfortable I didn't believe it was an ultra matte I thought it was a funky version of the ultra satin
