The only reason I love the Apple one is cuz I love the lightest and minimalist design. Despite the minimal protection I never drop my iPad and take care of my things. All the other cases are to bulky and adds to much weight to the iPad

I like both cases. The Apple case is more light and slim and really good quality. The ESR case has a flap to hold the Pencil Pro securely and is more affordable.

I don’t like the fact that the apple folio folds up so the microfibre side makes contact with the table. It picks up so much dirt and grime and then rubs it all over your screen

I actually like the fact that the ESR has weaker magnets for a somewhat quicker snap off..because I tend to use the iPad without the case mostly..but use the case just for storage or putting in a book bag. 💼

The actual iPad fits magnetically on to the case and once fitted it’s the case’s base which holds it in its respective viewing angle. Hope this helps 😊

You didn’t mention that the Otterbox front flap is magnetically attached and can be removed. It’s nice to get it out of the way for very cramped places like an airplane or if you have it open most the time and just don’t need the front cover.

Is the esr case heavier and thicker than the Apple folio? :) I have always bought the one from Apple but the pencil protection on the esr is compelling…

The ESR case and the Apple Smart Folio are really similar in terms of thickness. The Smart Folio is slightly thinner and lighter but it’s not a huge difference.

I've never had the Apple version but I can't imagine not having the pencil flap. The additional adjustment on Apple's would be nice though... Hard to imagine Apple's being thinner than ESR :)

Hello hope I am not too late and can get my question answered~ I was wondering if the clear case ESR would fit with the ESR slim trifold stand? if its compatible because I saw one on amazon where it had a case that came with the slim trifold stand but I did not really like the case it came with… Cheers!

I don’t believe it is compatible as there’s no magnets on the ESR Clear Case so that it would fit to the ESR Slim Trifold Stand Case.

Hi Jay, I have not long found your channel and love your videos. I have just purchased an iPad Pro 11 inch 2024. I can’t decide if to get the Apple Smart Folio or the OtterBox Statement studio. In your opinion which one is the best? I Like the otterbox but I am disappointed there is no microfibres that covers the back of the iPad.

Thanks for your appreciation 😊 Both are great cases. If you use your iPad just at home, I would recommend the Apple Smart Folio. However, if you take your iPad out and about a lot, the OtterBox would be better as you would be getting more protection. Hope this helps!

I have the classic esr since day 1. I noticed my first one was .05mm too big, so I ordered a second one, and this time in black transparent to match my iPad, and it fits even more perfect than the the they made before release. No more creaking. Best thing about this case is the Apple Pencil side is sturdy to hold

I purchased the ztotop case for the correct model (as indicated on Amazon). The on/off and volume buttons do not work. I’m very disappointed because this is a great case.

I had a similar experience but I noticed that you really have to make sure the iPad is fitted in there correctly and only then the buttons will work. Let me know if this helps 😊
