Hey College Hacked, I just wanted to say a huge thank you! I am a junior college student who probably wasn't going to work towards a bachelor's because of how expensive university is. Then I watched this video, your top online universities video and your LUO Business hack video. I just got accepted today as a Interdisciplinary Studies (Business & Religion) at Liberty University and will probably graduating in a about a year (2 tops) for about $13,000! Only will have to take the 10 classes to fulfill the 30 unit requirement for classes taken through Liberty. Thankful that the Lord in His providence got your channel to me! Thanks again! Grace & Peace.

Hey man I really appreciate all the work you put into these videos, they are extremely informative. I’m currently AD military tying to knock out my prereqs and bachelors for PA school before I get out. I think general studies will fit my goal and allow to me get the credits I need quickly!

It's a great choice. Lots of people have used it to prep for PA school too. In fact, one of advising associates did exactly that! (Or at least I think she did it with med school.) I'm coaching another guy right now through the exact process you're describing.

Something told me to click on this ! You are awesome I’m looking for a school to get a degree so I can go to law school . I saw you talking about Thomas Edison thank u so much !

Lucky you! Law schools don't usually require a specific major, so you can get any degree you want! Just make sure you learn how to write at the college level and do research. You'll need those skills in law school.

Hey, really enjoying your series! The BSc in Interdisciplinary Studies sounds intriguing. If I'm interested in pursuing a business degree but have majors in Information Technology, what would you recommend for institutions like Liberty or Thomas?

You have other majors, as in you already have bachelors degrees?

I’m currently studying Health Sciences at UOPeople, but it was only after watching one of your videos on accreditation that I learned about the difference between National and regional accreditation. I want to transfer to another university, but I’m a bit worried that I’ll have a difficult time transferring. Any tips?
@CollegeHacked

It depends on so many things. Happy to help in a consult (www.collegehacked.com), but if you want to transfer, I'd just take a look at the school you might want to attend and see if they'll consider national credits. Might have to call Admissions to get an answer too.

Aviation degree is a broad statement... most of the aviation degrees I've seen have many business courses. I would recommend the viewer to compare the curriculums.

Oh for sure, for sure. If I do a video about aviation degrees, we'll get into more specifics.

I’m a pilot and I’m leaning on this because all my licenses count for about a year of credit right off the bat. Major airlines could care less what your major is, or what college you went to. They simply want to check a box. Most pilots major in aviation simply to get the credit for their certificates, but we could major in basket weaving if we wanted to.

I have a health science degree and it is useless. Unless you go on to med school, an accelerated nursing program or therapies (physical, occupational, etc) it is completely useless for the medical field.

As a non-american, I'm so confused.. Those college names sound kinda shady, plus if they're completely online - will somebody even hire you with those online degrees if they have alternatives who attended normal, offline programs?
@CollegeHacked

Good questions: 1. All of these colleges I mentioned are super legit. There are some super not legit ones, but I would never recommend those. Generally make sure your college is regionally accredited and not a for-profit. Also look at graduation rates. Anything over 30% for an online school is decent. Anything nearer 50% is amazing. Typically, the higher the rate, the classier the school. 2. As someone who hires people, I can say that where you went to college is nowhere near as important as having a degree, what you studied, and your work experience. Now, Ivy League might beat out non-Ivy League, but unless you're wanting to go do something super fancy where everyone's is a rich snob, I really wouldn't worry about where you degree is from (as long as it meets #1). If you want to go super fancy and hang out with rich snobs, then don't worry about saving money on college. Hopefully in your future you'll be able to pay back student loans easily.

As a person who has worked in an HR office, I have never saw a problem with people who got online degrees. They typically don't even care where you got it, they just care that you have completed the degree and if it is in a relent field to what what you're applying to. Also, especially after the world 🌎 pandemic, most employers won't care because almost ever college went online. Also, you don't have to say on your resume that it's an online degree.

Degrees in “Studies” don’t take you anywhere, honestly. I loved the video though!

Awww, man, but they do! Just as one example, I've helped a lot of "Studies" students get into medical school and PA school, which are some of the hardest to get into!
