I love toning! I find that if I use a toner, my serums soak into my skin much faster/easier, and it's also just a nice experience to spray my face with something cooling and (lightly) scented. A new one was released by Mecca Cosmetica (like the Australian Sephora, their "home brand") and it has lactic, glycolic and salicylic acid it in, and I have to say I'm super curious. Thanks for another amazing video Rob! xx

Paula's Choice is a great option but I don't consider it drug store as it's very expensive! I'll stick with The Ordinary!! Love that company sooo much. I'm surprised Pixi Glow Tonic is on this list...i thought it was loaded w alcohol and fragrance?!

I personally do not want alcohol or fragrance in any of my skincare products! I love my skin and try to take care of it by avoiding those products and that includes essential oils. Absolutely loathe them 😂😂

certain alcohols are actually good for your skin! most aren’t but just research the alcohol types in the product!

Alcohol isn't as bad as what people say unless you do have a reaction to it. It just helps the product sink in better and it counteracts with the other ingredients so it basically disappears.

Alexandra Charlton nooooo certain alcohols are terrible for your skin. like ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, alcohol denat, and methanol alcohol are absolutely terrible for your skin. they are drying and irritating and will cause sensitivity

I forget to use toner half the time, but when I do, I really enjoy Pixi! I love the smell of actual roses, but not a fan, AT ALL of the scent in products...or any scent, really! Many scents will give me a migraine at worst, or a sinus headache...no thanks!💜💜💜

Treatment toners are actually very useful for individuals who are sensitive and cant tolerate strong type of exfoliating products. Korean toners are very good introductory product for people who are starting up skincare to minimize episodes of purging because they got toners with actives in it. It's good you dont get dry with thayers witch hazel.

At the moment I’m using the Lacura exfoliating toner from Aldi which is apparently a dupe for the Pixi glow tonic, but I haven’t tried the Pixi one! Have you ever used it before and do you recommend, or am I having a total disaster moment??😫 So glad I’ve found your channel! I had jaw surgery 6 weeks ago and my skin is a NIGHTMARE at the moment with breakouts and oilyness, so I’m having to give my skincare routine a total revamp! I didn't know LaRoch Posay actually has a good product!! Lol. Just kidding. They've got a few good ones. I didn't know the product you mentioned is continued a toner for sensitive skin. I'll have to give it a go!

Haha they do.. I think they have done a lot of reformulation recently so their products are much better than they used to be.. Its not advertised specifically as a toner but does the same job so is great for people with sensitive skin xx

Why do a lot of skin care people say stay away from witch hazel?

Hey hun great question. I personally dont have an issue with witch hazel and think it very calming on irritated skin. This issue is it can be very drying and also trigger reactions in some people sensitive to it which is why a lot of derms say to stay away from it. If you have never had an issue with it and patch test the product first then there is no reason not to use it if it works for you xx
