Samsung smart tag works great. Either Bluetooth if your pet is close or on your phone directions of approximate location within 130 yards. When you get close bluetooth will work. Great for cats. No monthly fee. GREAT

Tractive's new model, Tractive mini for cats is not good enough in terms of battery life and functionality. It only lasts ar. 12-15 hours, whereas the old model you are showing in this video lasts ar. 3 days (with a battery saving mode you can set up on an app). So if your cat goes out for longer, it is pretty much useless! And if the tracker is lost, which happens, it is impossible to find it when the battery is empty! I find their quality to be worsening,, not improving, sadly.

Be very wary of buying anything from AliExpress or eBay. They products in this segment are often poor quality, wrong network frequency and overseas sellers do not provide service or returns. Lots of junk products they sell say "GPS Tracker" but are actually Bluetooth, which is totally useless ! Only buy something with excellent reviews and an easy return policy.

Loc8tor is crap, it was ok to start with then the main unit even starting being flaky and the tags started getting same way. Don't think they are built for longevity. Get cheaper bluetooth tags intsead

I stopped using it exactly for the same reason. The unit's battery gets loose and the tags malfunction a lot while the customer service became much worse than in the beginning. They no longer want to replace the faulty tags for free and are extremely irresponsive, even rude (one woman answering all emails). Also, you need to purchase the extra silicon cases as they break a lot and they are not cheap!

C'est un très bon point que vous avez mentionné. Mais le traceur GPS ne peut fonctionner que s'il est correctement placé sur votre animal de compagnie ! Sinon, il ne peut pas suivre votre animal de compagnie s'il est perdu ou en panne ! Nous vous recommandons donc de laisser votre animal jouer dans une certaine zone, ce qui est sans danger pour lui ! Comme votre arrière-cour, votre toit ou votre jardin !

Do you mean like something they could implant? Like the current RFID chips common to implant in animals? I don't think we have the technology for that. Or, we have the technology, but it is too expensive for the common consumer.

@@In_time I dunno. This RFID tech that lets you microchip pets has been around since the mid 90s at least. The hurdle is energy.... the chip needs power from somewhere. This collar has a rechargeable battery. The chips that you plant in pets now only need power when they are being read, and they get it from the reader itself.

If you want this channel to succeed, you need a native level language speaker with a soothing voice presenting it. Its a real shame, because the video & editing work is excellent ! You need to give pricing details in the video, don't just say, "click on the link" This voice is painful...

You've never had a cat sneak past you, get out through a door that didn't close all the way, a window where the screen popped off, etc etc.? This is helpful for indoor cats, as well, just in case they manage to get outside despite your best efforts.
