My king sized bed that I shared with my sister and cousin would nearly take up all the space in the room. We had one long dresser which you could only open the bottom drawers half way cause the bed got in the way. Also we had the door to the backyard so we had 2 door. Tip: Place the curtain rods higher, almost near the ceiling for a larger/higher ceiling room feel. You don't have to follow the top of the window slot.

Having the bed under/in front of the windows seems to be something very American. (Not judging just noticing). I would take the master bedroom layout and flip it around. So when you wake up you can look out of the windows and enjoy the light and the view. Also if you have to put a desk put it under a window so you can have a lot of natural light while working, reading. Put a little bench in the room so you can sit and read not a chair. And last but not least why putting your shoes in your bedroom? Leave them where they belong in the corridor/entry room/ by the door. On the other side, it is always interesting to see new ideas. This is a large room and doesn't even have any real obstacles. Like closet doors that, if open, limit you to almost no space... or any entryway door issues, or light switches that the bed can't possibly block... this is at the very least a 'medium' size room with some very convenient space-efficient built-ins. Also, a lot of the layouts don't really work if two people need to sleep in the bed. Granted, we had a bed against the corner for years, but it was downright life-changing to move it; impossible not to wake a second person up constantly if you have to get up and the bed is against the wall.

Honestly, I've had my bed against a wall to leave more space in the room for three years now (college living), and I just got used to the inconvenience. When you're making the bed, if you put on the corners against the wall first, you can pull the sheets around on the free side a lot easier
