Jb4 is nice I used one on my 335i but I didn't use it for its tuning exactly. I had a backend flash wich is a full ecu tune and then piggy backed Jb4 to that for monitoring logging boost control etc. Going with a full pro tune will always be best. Getting this car to run full flex fuel then going full bolt on will likley produce the best results. I've seen them hitting 3.1 0-60 and extemly low 11s. Basically as fast as a gt3/gt4rs

Hello, how are you? I like your video! I have a G70 2021 3.3LWas the first thing you did under the car a muffler delete? If so, how did that affect the sound? I have a cold air intake and whistles nice sometimes, but nothing deep. I was wondering if the muffler delete would help give it a deeper sound? . .. I did it on my last car and changed the exhaust to a quad, and then it sounded better than factory 2019 Santa Fe Ultimate. How much HP is your blue G70 pushing? It does not, you’d have to buy a TCU tune for that. The manual in the G70 isn’t great and neither is the motor, a 3.3 is definitely the way to go for the G70. If you absolutely want manual, I’d go for a different car entirely,

I would recommend something to help cool the engine I find that in speaking with other Genesis and Stinger owners there have been issues with engine overheating at times. If you were to do an updated video would anything change or would you recommend anything else?

I did an upgraded intercooler in later videos - but not sure where you got the overheating from. I rubbed shoulders with the fastest 3.3TT builds in the country when I had this car and never heard that once. You may be referring to heat soak. Using e85 and something like charge pipe injection or methanol is more than enough cooling,

Hands down one of if not the best G70 exhaust note I've heard! It sounds great without being raspy or obnoxious. Do you have any drone at highway speed?

No not unless I’m in eco and lugging the transmission. The stainless midpipe and the resonators removed what little drone was left. Check out my more recent exhaust video for details of my setup!

You don’t, no. Intakes typically have little impact, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have them.

Hey man, the only mods I had done by a shop was the aero and the custom exhaust. The rest you can figure out if you’re somewhat handy or have a friend that is like I do. Still made mistakes along the way. The dealer definitely wouldn’t appreciate my mods, specifically the tune but JB4 can be removed in 10 minutes to avoid detection. The dealer still has to prove your mods caused the issues.

Your thoughts on Lozic ECU tune? Its numbers (gain) seem impressive as I saw on their site. I am currently on the fence for just an ECU tune from Lozic. My ride is completely stock with the exception of the AEM dry a/f drop in.

I believe one of the few stock turbo Stingers in the 10s 1/4th is on Lozics tune. I chose JB4 for how easily it can be removed and flexibility on performance maps, but I don’t think you can go wrong with either Lap 3 or Lozic. Can’t speak to the reliability of Lozic over time though.

are any of these mods available without voiding the warranty? I know with the JBL tune you can just take it off when you go to the dealer, but i wouldnt do that without new spark plugs, and would that affect the warranty?

Nah spark plugs won’t affect warranty. Neither will exhaust until you modify the cats. Suspension won’t really either unless you have an issue that your aftermarket suspension caused. Remember, they have to tie your mods to the issue. They can’t deny a trim fix because you have an exhaust or deny an electronic issue just because you have a front lip.

Hey I have a 2.0T and was looking to get my exhaust done, the only problem is the stock bumper is single exit and I cant find any systems that aren't duel. Any suggestions?

Just have an exhaust shop build you a custom system like I did. It’ll be cheaper and tailor fitted to your car rather than trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Check out my exhaust video, I went section by section(muffler delete, midpipe, then secondary cats) to get the exact sound I wanted.

Do the spring have any affect on the adaptive suspension for the GT1 stinger or in your case the trim with the adaptive suspension in the g70. Do you still notice it get softer in comfort and eco

Yeah I have the top trim 3.3 and the springs work with the adaptive suspension like normal.

How are you doing the conversion to Quade tips without making the rear look chopped up?

You just need to remove the chrome surrounds and 3 inch double walled quad tips will fit. Can’t go higher than that and the chrome surround had to be removed.

I have a full custom setup(check my other video) from the primary downpipes all the way to the back. But for a good muffler delete just do an axelback muffler delete and add two quality bullet resonators near the exit. It sounds good without being too raspy or causing unnecessary drone inside the car.

No don't spend a dime on rims or wings or JB4. Just get the Lap 3 turbo upgrade. I am working on a kit with dual Gt35rs that will be 30% cheaper than the LAP3 package. Level 10 trans upgrade in the works also.

Big turbos are out of reach for many people that casually modify their car which is what I was getting at for this video. Bringing the price down would be awesome but we still don’t have a viable transmission solution. The few big turbo builds out there can’t dig or really put down fast times except from a roll because of its limitations. Torque converter needs upgrading and so does the transmission. Hopefully the development for that happens in the next two years!

Jb4, Lozic TCU, Denso pre gapped Titanium plugs are easy if you buy the ball joint plug socket from Burger. I think it's #3 plug and if you do that one first with the ball joint socket tool, the rest are easy.

Not really. There are TCU tunes available if you’re looking for faster/smarter shifts. If anything the added power makes the transmission kick harder on up shifts.

Nah. No specific mod necessarily voids warranty. The dealer still has to prove your mod caused the issue you’re trying to have fixed. It also depends on your dealer and whether they’re mod friendly.

The exterior stuff, the VT intake scoops, exhaust usually won’t but can if you do the primary downpipe(which I didn’t do and I don’t recommend personally). Anything tune related can be used against you in a warranty situation.

Not really, actually a mild stage 1 tune will often increase mileage very slightly. Even at its peak(close to 500whp) I never thought the gas mileage was terrible.

Very! The 3.3 has a great reputation for reliability since it’s debut. As long as you’re not pushing 600+ whp you won’t have many issues.

Just keep in mind it’s not an NA motor like your Lexus is and likely pushing way more power with mods. Do the maintenance, take care of it, buy parts from recommended vendors. :)

Fuck yes it was! Bought the 2022! It’s the launch edition so it’s 1-500 and my interior and exterior colors are amazing! Matte grey on the outside and red guts on the inside! For sure worth it for $51k and bmw/ Benz/ Audi would be closer for 100k I currently have 52,000 miles on it, I bought it brand new from the showroom floor and I’ve had zero problems with it

@@nate22746 I had a friend install them with me, took about 4 hours. The front drivers side would not come out but once we figured out the first the rest were quick. Doing springs without spacers won’t look great as the wheels will still be sunk into the fender in my opinion. You don’t need to worry about it being too low, that’s the benefit of springs vs coil overs. Provides the aesthetic improvement you want without compromising daily drivability.

#1 mod is upgraded intakes, 15-20 hp right there, you should not run any tune without doing this first.

@@joerichardson6107 you’re applying broad strokes to what used to be a generally true statement. Most new performance oriented cars have perfectly good intake systems and aftermarket shows very little gains. 10-15 hp is categorically false. Yes, spark plug upgrades are often needed depending on level of tuning & fueling upgrades, but not always needed. For example most “stage 1” tunes across many platforms would not need a spark plug upgrade.

@@TheAftermarket1 if you should do a plugs with a jb4, then you should with an ECU tune, lap3 doesn't requires an intake but n75 does even for a low boost 395 whp tune both require plugs on the least aggressive tune. Not a broad stroke it's very specific to the car, actually afe shows Dyno numbers ( false advertising?), so not categorically false, for my tuned Elantra sport it was only like 10 hp gained with a tune. I would do it before plugs especially if you're not on a jb4 or ECU tune. If you flow more air you make more power. It's all good we can agree to disagree, these cars are awesome, just got my g70.
