I want to futureproof my build as much as possible, and Asrock Steel Legend has that covered with pcie 5.0 x16 and pcie gen5 m.2 all for roughly $280. It's also silver/white themed.

"Best B650E Chipset Motherboard for 7800X3D" I'd have to give to the ASRock B650E Taichi Lite. Premium features at a very reasonable price point, can get them for $250ish. Has PCIE 5.0, M.2 Gen 5, ALC 4082 audio codec and Sabre DAC, WIFI 6E + Bluetooth 5.3, robust VRM's, USB 4 etc.

@@Edgar-u8v9m the motherboard yes, but the price can depend on where you live. And it depends if you wanna buy a 50 series card since that mainboard only aupports PCIe 4.0 so 50 series cards wont have their full potential there

Anything less than X670, you are wasting your time and shouldn't even be considered. 20 PCIe 5.0 lanes V 12 PCIe 5.0 lanes. 4 M.2 slots V 2 M.2 slots. Brand aside.

This is due to its dedicated PCIe 5.0 x16 direct CPU pipeline architecture. The MSI MPG Carbon WiFi also employs this principle, but all MSI motherboards, by default, push optimized voltages to your RAM and CPU which is worth considering. However, it's important to note that ASUS had a mini-scandal recently regarding their eXPO memory profiles which led to overheating and melting issues not covered by warranty. They tried to fix this with a BIOS update, but using it invalidated your warranty. Although this issue has since been corrected, it is best to use motherboards of the x670 series or higher, as PCIe 5.0 is x670 firmly.
