I bought a Canik rival on your recommendation and while its not cheap, considering everything it comes with I'd say its definitely affordable considering it comes with everything you need and it is an EXTREMELY good pistol. I absolutely love my Rival and will be getting the metal one someday.

in 2022 I picked up both the psa dagger ($350 with 10 mags) and the girsan regard mc bx in black ($500 from my local gunshop) and LOVE them both, they shoot great, accurate reliable and good looking guns. Couldn't be happier with them both. one gun I would like to see is the chiappa m1 carbine in 9mm, it uses beretta m9 mags and seems to be a pretty cool pcc

I, personally, would recommend my EDC, the Mossberg MC2C. Not a lot of reviews I've seen with this pistol other than TFB's torture test, but I've owned this gun for almost a year, I've put well over a thousand rounds through it, and I would trust my life with it. I ended up with the two-tone model, I just love the silver slide look, and with a 16 round capacity, what's not to love. I also paid little for my Palmetto State GF3 AK rifle, and, of course, I love my Mossberg Maverick 88, and my Taurus Executive Grade 856 revolver. Yeah, I'm a budget guy, but I love my guns, and they love me. No failures to speak of so far. Great video, brother! Looking forward to the others!

I’ve been carrying your exact same spec, MC2C Two Tone with the 16 round mag for about 4 months now. Love it! Super lightweight and great out the box. Have never had one jam with the gun after about 500 rounds so far.

I have both the Canik Rival and new Ruger .380. Both have been quite reliable so far. I have only placed 70 rounds through the Ruger including 20 rounds of Norma 85 grain MHP there wasn't any problems. Even my friend that doesn't like polymer handguns at all actually liked the Ruger more than both of my Glocks. The Canik Rival has more rounds and has been completely flawless as well.

After about 500 rounds the ejection on my Ruger pc9 which I bought in 2018 started getting sluggish so I installed the Mcarbo tool steel extractor &bolt head pins along with buffer recoil pad and its run like a top ever since. Then added the Magpul stock kit and it lightened the front end that I'd thought was a bit too heavy.

I'll second the Zion 15. It was the first firearm I purchased at the recommendation of my buddy at the gun shop. It has been absolutely awesome. I hope IWI does a AR-10 variation at some point because I'm sure it would be just a solid!

Threequel. I have the Ruger PCC, cost around here is a couple hundred more than what you quoted. The IWI AR is on my short list for when I get one. So is the Davidson, which as I recall you liked, and Windham Weaponry which is actually local to me so that's a bonus that itself may be worth the slightly higher price.

I had an opportunity to shoot that Ruger 380 and a PSA Rock. I was thoroughly impressed with both. The Ruger was super smooth with nice sights and nice trigger. The PSA's quality was far better than I expected and shot really nice. Both guns were 100% reliable.

Thanks for this one. I'm seriously looking forward to the sequel, and...part 3. I'm a budget gun kind of guy. The most I've ever spent on a pistol is $650 for my PDP and for my M18. I'm definitely adding a Canik to my crew...probably the Elite SC. I actually had it once before, but wasn't comfortable (at the time,) with the 4lb trigger pull. In my first 100 rounds, I must have double tapped at least 6 times. Kind of made me uncomfortable. Figured it was best to trade it in toward my PDP. Certainly no regrets with that decision. I'll look through your videos to see if you've covered it, but, maybe you could comment and let me know you're opinion of the S&W M&P Sport II for an AR? That's my first (and only,) AR-15. I've added to it, but only in accessories and furniture. I've put easily 1,000 rounds through it, trying out different red dots and scopes. It's been great for me, but I was kind of hoping you, or some of your viewers, had more experience with it than my 1,000 or so rounds.

I bought my last three guns based on your reviews. First the PDP, followed by the Kimber Mako and most recently the Canik TP9 SC. All three have a place in rotation and all three are great guns. The Canik took around 500 rounds to break in but the other two have over 2k rounds each and not one issue. Thanks for another great review.

I bought my Taurus G3 after watching your review and have not had any problems with it. 3 years and around 300 rounds 2 misfires due to faulty primers from a local reloader. Happy with the gun.👍

Chris, thank you for addressing this piece of the market. Two I would have included, based on volume shooting.... Stoeger STR-9. I am very surprised at how much I like the feel and performance of this pistol. It feels like an old favorite as soon as you pick it up. And it fits plenty of holsters you probably already own. Also on my list is the Canik Mete Sfx Black with the included Mecanik optic for less than $600. Micro optic includes shake awake and super fast auto correction for changes in lighting conditions. Two super options for budget guns. Keep up the good work.

I gotta say, the Taurus GX4 is right up at the top. I bought mine for about 400 bucks when they first came out. I saw it on sale a few days ago for $275!!!. Wow!. The gun just works. It replaced my Glock 43 as one of my carry guns. I own plenty of higher end guns....I have a few 1911s that I love. Give the GX4 a run, you will love it!

I really like your number one. I know people who have this handgun and the P-35 clone they produce and they love 'em. Back when I started policing in the late 80's several of my friends on sheriffs departments carried the PT-92. Beretta 92s were hard to come by and most gun shops marked them up. I bought one second hand and ran all sort of ammo through for several years, finally selling it to a friend. Wish I still had it, as it was a great shooter. Thanks for the video, looking forward to the next one. Never knew people from Iowa were such savages.

I have several handguns but never owned a .380 until a month ago when i picked up the Ruger Security 380 for $299 and i must say i really am impressed with it. Not only the light racking slide but just overall how smooth it shoots and how accurate it is, i would not be afraid to carry this especially with some Underwood ammo or even the flat nosed winchester. Great gun at a really nice price in my opinion

Just use FMJ. You don’t really get a one shot stopper with boutique plus p stuff, so it’s virtually no reward with added wear on the gun with a light recoil spring.

Ruger EC9s. 7+1 with the mag it comes with, and a you can get a 9 round spare. Cheap, reliable, concealable. It's a good all weather carry gun.

No doubt, what you get for the money on the EC9s is pretty amazing. I've carried and shot an LC9s for years, it's been absolutely reliable. The only real difference is removable vs. machined sights, but most people never change out the sights anyway so put a dab of paint on the front like Rob said and the EC9s will get you where you need to go every time.

@@herbderbler1585 For defensive purposes, I consider a subcompact a "get off me" gun. It's perfect for trying to hit an attacker center mass within 7 yards.

@@jimmyjoe4488 5-10 yards is generally where I practice, though I do sometimes push out to 20-30 yards as well. Not a distance I'm likely to ever take a CCW gun as that is most likely an irresponsible shot, but we have seen rare instances such as that POS in Greenwood Park Mall who was shut down from quite a distance. It pays to always push your limits just in case.

I would have included a Charter Arms, Taurus etc. 38 special revolver. When I was training folks, I found many new shooters were more comfortable with a wheel gun. Plus they don't have to rack the slide which can be a problem for some. Enjoy your channel.

Bought a Tisas px9 gen 3 a few months ago. Tons of extras and a great functioning 9mm pistol. Sig 226 mags(18 and 20 Rd), no problems cycling 115 grn range ammo new out of the box. Very good shooter. Best $289 I've spent in a while!

I have the regard mc bx model, it has a threaded barrel, g10 grips better sights and a whole lot more. It's pretty much a cross between the m9a1 and the m9a3. For the $500 I paid it's about HALF as much as the m9a3

I would definitely purchase the new Ruger 380. People complain about the "weak" little 380 but it is capable of stopping someone from hurting you mainly because people don't want to be shot by anything but the round is hot enough to penetrate effectively.

Tisas has some decent polymer guns, and sub-$500 1911's. Stoeger is another pretty good under $400 option.

For a Beretta clone, I like the Girsan but I like the Taurus PT92 better. Both are excellent but have had a PT92 since 06 never failed that I can remember.

Still more than happy with my $329 Beretta APX Centurion. Everything about it just gets better the more rounds you put through it. Wasn't super happy with the trigger at first, but it's broken in quite nicely. Still my favorite of all my handguns.

One advantage of using Ruger Security 380 also possible was a situation you may have injured your dominant side hand/arm and you still needed to shoot something, the 380 in that size pistol would be fairly recoil wise for you to still be able to shoot from your weak hand.
