Snap Countersteer Back in 2010 I had a Ferrari 360 and MASERATI QP as my daily driver. Maserati was one of the worse cars I owned, window switches broke multiple times and couldn’t roll up window, phantom battery drain that would mean I would go to leave nd my car had zero battery, cost of maintenance, etc. I trade both I’m on a Bentley Flying Spur and I literally haven’t had one repair item in 7 years, just wear and tear items like shocks tune up brakes, best car so far.

I think he was kinda wrong about the i8 I mean it's a hybrid why would it go fast. It was kinda one of those cars for people who like to flex but for those who don't like wasting money. Basically it was a car aimed at millionaires who do anything to save some money. I mean why by a Toyota Prius when you can get an i8 that looks cooler. But I guess some people don't think spending 100k on a hybrid is worth it.

To be fair, they're really good off-road machines _if you're willing to put up with the reliability issues._ Reliability really is the one major flaw of the Range Rover. Don't get me wrong, for a lot of people that's a dealbreaker. I guess what I'm saying is that if you like going off road the Range Rover is a vehicle you'd definitely want to experience at least once in your life even if you don't want to own one. I think that's why the Range Rover Experience attractions do so well. People don't want to own one because of the reliability issues, but they love to drive them when they're not broken down.

Tell me about it. I live about five minutes away from Hollywood Blvd. the amount of housewives in Range Rovers/Cayennes, douches in Huracans, boomers in Ghosts, Armenians in salvage title AMGs and M cars has made me so desensitized to “exotic cars”. Last time I looked twice at a car was last week when a 300SL Gullwing was just casually parked in West Hollywood. Week before that I saw two veyrons on the same day... oh and just two days before that saw Jay Leno driving his SLR in the valley. My dad actually has a kind of cool/bizarre car he bought in 1978 called a Clenet (look it up) and that gets way more looks and thumbs ups when I drive it than any Lamborghini or Rolls driving down the road. I love depreciated cars, you can buy some former extremely expensive cars for under $10,000 I found Rolls-Royce's at such low costs (some with excellent interior condition) Always buy the car you like, don't let anyone tell you your car is bad because once the car hits the bottom of the depreciation curve the value will increase exponentially.

You can buy old bentleys and rolls royces for under $50k but you’ll literally spend that same amount of money maintaining it. Kevin Norris i haven’t spent a lot of money maintaining the BMWs I’ve had. They all have been used and I never did but the essentials for them. The whole reliability and unreliable concept is utter shit. I could say the same about Hondas being pieces of shit but people would say otherwise. A Toyota guy would say Honda is a piece of shit and vice versa. Same with Nissans, both Toyota and Honda people shit on Nissan and vice versa. Cars last and are reliable as long as their OWNER takes care of them accordingly. Now I will admit quality on each car is different and I don’t care what people say, when it comes to quality, Euro cars have everyone beat. Specifically German cars, German engineers are some of the best in the game. From there Japanese would follow, then The Korean brands like Hyundai and Kia. But reliability depends on how the car is taken care off. As for maintenance, you’ll be paying the same “expensive” maintenance on a Honda as you would on a Beamer in the long run. Difference is BMW, Mercs, Audi’s etc. don’t have to lie about their expensive maintenance in the long run. As said above I’ve never had issues with German cars, specifically BMWs and Porsche. They are amazing cars with a top notch quality. Their diver aware system and feed back is amazing. BMWs are known as the ultimate driving machine for a reason, and an owner that know about the brand and knows their way around cars won’t have problems.

The i8 has a special feeling to it, you can roll down a mountain without engine reving high or glowing brake disks, charging battery with speed fixed by tempomat, going back home 256 km/h on autobahn and enjoy the sound of your city at night rather than being the sound or be quick without to much attention.

I feel like the issue with range rovers is more of a US issue than an EU one, we've had a range rover for years and have never had a single issue with it. Whether it's down to build quality or not beating the hell out of it, it's been pretty bullet proof P.s: you can actually tell there range rovers in the UK, as we don't have swarms of SUVs covering our roads

I currently own a maserati GT and havent had any big issues I couldnt sort on myself and it's an 09. Got a good prebuy done on it, checked the service history and didnt buy the one with some "f1 transmission" that is known to break and it's been an absolutely awesome experience. Just have to be smart with it set some money back incase something goes wrong and for the most part you'll be fine

And secondly the dealer we bought from literally comes and flatbeds my dads car whenever it needs service even something as small as replacing the brakes or changing the oil

The i8 from a nonperformance standpoint is an impressively cleanly made vehicle. The i3 takes it further with being made of mostly recycled materials, if not then eco friendly. From an enthusiast standpoint... I feel there's better options, but I personally love i8 (and i3).

Leasing a Range Rover is an excellent suggestion if you want brand new, but if you don't care about having the absolute up to date model then buying a five year old one makes loads of sense. Firstly it will have depreciated massively and secondly anything that was going to go wrong will have been fixed at great expense by the previous owner(s) so you end up with a nice, reliable ultimate 4x4. As for speed, over here in the UK we don't have massive, long roads where you can just put your foot down and go. There is so much congestion, even out of town and anywhere that isn't clogged up will still be littered with speed cameras. I have a twenty year old Audi S8 and that still does the business plus it has a great V8 sound. Unless I was doing track days every week the Audi is totally practical. The supra is a good car... for the 90s. In todays market its heavy and slow unless you want to put another 10k into the 70k price tag. They are nice just because i like the styling but i would never consider buying one for more than 35k. Essentially its an over glorified 2019 Camry

He works on > 5 year old cars, since no sane man would take a car that has a warranty to a backyard mechanic. Also, in 'murica, getting spare parts or people that actually know to work on european cars is a bit harder and of course, more expensive. Sometimes, ridiculous expensive, just like their healthcare. 90% of the points he makes about german car are not valid if you live in other civilized parts of the world, like Europe. As for me liking German cars... sure, but it's something recent. I always had new cars, never second hand. Had a bunch of japanese ones, like an Accord or a Mazda6 (brand new) and I was a big fan. After 2 and 1/2 with the M6, I got rid of it, VERY LOW quality, had a lot of problems with it. (remember, brand new, 2017 model). Then, by chance, I got a german one and finally kinda understood why some people make so much fuss about them. Everything is higher quality, everything works better than in any japanese care i had or driven. Yes, they might break more after 10 years, but I don't care, I keep a car for 4-6 years max, never above 100.000km. So, Scotty for me is a moron, he just sees one side of the story, not even the most important one. And when I hear him " one of my customers bought a new mercedes...", I feel like puking, he's frikkin' lying his ass off and you people buy it. end of rant.

The i8 is honestly an underrated car, it is one of the best cars for fuel economy ever and it looks great. Also gives you the option of driving all electric or using your petrol engine and it isn't slow.... It's not fast but it's not slow either, and if you've got money maybe you can tune it, modify it or so.
