I believe that for the Birkin, the weight increases as the size of the bag increases. So the Birkin 30 is heavier than the Birkin 25. Does that answer your question ?

I recently watched a movie with a very young Jane Birkin and also a docu on her life with Serge Gainsbourg. It's so interesting to see the woman who inspired the most iconic bag of our time. I think it's cool for us handbag lovers to hear about the history of these bags and widen our knowledge of them outside of the usual bag "stats" like sizing and leather type. Ooh, I love the Saint Laurent Manhattan especially in that raspberry red you showed in the picture! I would definitely go for that if I were in search of a Birkin alternative.💕

Oh wow I love the back story. I had no idea, it makes sense that it does look like a travel bag. OMG the whole designer bag thing is getting out of control. I am more into buying independent up can coming designers. Yes this bag is nice but I do feel it is a bit over-rated. It is funny in the states and also Russia people are really into labels and status, where as in France and the UK (Paris and London) it is more about expressing yourself. Oh yes I would totally do a SL bag. And of course I would have to get the Manhattan!! Its funny but I want a bag from RM and it is only $350 and it is great. Thanks for these suggestions!
