I've always been obsessed with beautiful chord voicings. I always know what I wanna hear but never know how to create it. Your last two videos have scratched that itch and made it super clear as to how to get there. Seen you on instagram for the longest time but this stuff on youtube is exactly what I'm after! Feels like you're unlocking whole new doors for me, legend.

Can you do a video on how to figure out what chords to go to? I think you do a great job of explaining and showing how to voice chords but in your video 1:08 you show some great progressions that I really want to learn how to come up with as easily as you
@RogerSimon9 ай бұрын
Figuring out what chords to go to is subjective, but I think I get what you're saying. A video providing insight on ways you can stitch chords together could be helpful.

Love this, thank you! Any tips on how to learn inversions? I can build some nice chords but seeing them inverted into a random chord progression just doesn’t happen for me.
@RogerSimon9 ай бұрын
Thanks! I'm not sure if you know what inversions are. If not, here's a video I did a while back. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4q8i4lvodGVaqssi=VL822Ke-RtyOUGG7 Try starting off with triad chords (major, minor, diminished, augmented). Do all of this with a metronome. Start off slow and increase the speed once you feel comfortable inverting through all of the chords. Then, move on to 7ths (major 7th, minor 7th, diminished 7th, dominant 7th). As you begin to play them quickly, you should be able to naturally incorporate them into your progressions. I hope this helps!
