I've been a life long cutter. Still holding 15+% body fat. First, time ever I decided to over come to mental barrier of being afraid of food and beating myself up over eating bad here and there. Taking your advice from countless episodes and see what happens. 11 years of mental barriers I have to over come but excited to see the results! Doing hard things is a journey.

So I am not a personal trainer, I didn't start my fitness journey until I was in my mid 30's. Looking back I would of loved to go down that road especially after listening to you guys and getting all the knowledge I have picked up the last couple years. My goal is to take what you guys are saying and pass that on to friends and family at this point in my life and create a bond with my son based around heath and fitness. Thank you guys!

I've shared this episode with my Personal Trainer with the WARNING "better watch this episode or else there will be consequences 😂", I think he lives by all these commandments and more. What distinguishes him the most is his honesty, if he doesn't know, he accepts he doesn't know and he will find out before our next session, totally worth it.

Just want to say thanks to you guys as I started my weight loss/ training in April and yes I did it the wrong way by cutting calories down to 1500 and working out 5 days a week and lost 28lbs but since I have found you guys I have managed to correct my thinking process and slowly reverse diet up-to now eating 2500 calories and training 3days a week and getting stronger and the scale stays pretty much at the same weight. So thank you for all you do. Keep doing it.

Sal you are absolutely right. I would also add, that fitness longevity is about the mindset. You can’t box yourself into a plan. Someone else has created for you. You have to shift your thinking and believe you CAN achieve your goals. Keep up the great work guys!

You guys give the greatest advice. I've learned so much and I thought I knew a ton. My mental health is in the best place it's been in years, just by picking up heavy stuff and putting it back down 4 days a week. 🎉

I saw this episode title and clicked it so fast lol. Thank you for all that you do I'm a new personal trainer and you guys are part of the reason that drove me into the space. I think I'm going to say these commandments every morning before I start my day. Please please please I'd love for you guys to make some sort of program to teach trainer the ways of mind pump 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿. As far as coaching philosophy, programming and client behavioral change psychology. That would be awesome.

The benefits of health and fitness are endless. Sadly, living healthy and practicing fitness is not yet considered a “normal life” :( .That’s why we NEED more personal trainers out there so that we can make it a norm! I have been lifting weights since 2020 and recently I set a small goal for myself which is to learn how to do pull ups :). I do a few reps every morning and both of my kids ( 5 and 7) are waiting outside my bedroom door each morning lining up to do it with me 😅. It s like me favorite part of my day ❤. I m thinking of becoming a personal trainer so that I can (hopefully ) make a bigger impact than just my housold 😂. Sal, Adam, Justin, doug: you rock! This was a very inspiring , smart and well though out episode ❤. Thank you 😊

I just love you guys. It is such a breath of fresh air to finally find professionals like yourself that I can truly say I am on the same page with. I prefer face to face training vrs online. It’s so important to walk along side your clients through their journey, to really connect and be available for their concerns and successes. You guys are my favorite and my go too. I have been doing this for over 27 years and I have seen it all. I worked at Bally Total Fitness for 15 years and then opened up my own studio, 10 years now. ❤ Thank you for ALL that you do. 👍🏻💪🏻 Keep up the good work.

I just want to thank you for always speaking the truth about health, and also having facts to back it up. I have listened to y'all for two years now and I'm barely getting the hang of it. I feel so much better, I've been lifting since May, and yes it's slow, but I'm able to stay consistent now. Thanks guys 🫶MP

As a trainer of just over 2 years, I am so thankful I had an instructor recommend this podcast for an assignment back in college in 2020. I have learned so much and can thank mind pump for continuously making me think and seek out more knowledge and information to improve my skills and provide the best service to my clients that I can.

I'm listening to this through an educator lens, and it's still quite insightful. I have 9 months to get around 100 students to understand a handful of concepts. And there are days when I think to myself "If they were listening when I said x, then they wouldn't be so confused right now." But taking on the challenge of bettering myself to meet people where they are is an idea that I am constantly working on.

You actually have 6 months (180 days in compulsory attendance). Your job sets you up for failure, and the tests are designed to blame you. Don't buy into that guilt trip. The best thing you can do is be there for your students and do the best that you can with the time you have. You CANNOT control other people. They have to find it within themselves.

You can also take these Lessons with you when raising a child. Same concept. Help them become healthy mind and body, spirit as well. Help them become a better version of THEMSELVES, not another version of you. You’re just a guide. And then eventually, train them enough to be self-sufficient.
