In my first pregnancy third trimester (before I was a prenatal yoga teacher). I moved into a standing twist and felt a sharp pain down my midline. I’m sure this contributed to my 4-finger Diastasis Recti gap after 😭 Hopefully you can avoid excessive DR by moving safely 💞

Thank you for this video. I don’t remember if I did any of those twists in my first pregnancy, but I’ll definitely avoid them in the second one!

Hi , thank you for the video❤ you mentioned some of the poses with twists that need modification, can you please let us know what are the modifications? Is it better to avoid twists altogether?

Thanks for this. Been doing all of them during my yoga practice. What are the alternative poses that can be done that have the same benefit? Thank you

Thank you for this amazing video! Do passive extension stretches of the lumbar or thoracic spine have a similar effect ? I feel stretching in my linea alba with back bends and even cow pose sometimes
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV Жыл бұрын
Yes, they can so you don’t want to overdo how far. I would recommend avoiding deep back bends. However, if you exhale and engage and also ensure your ribs are flaring a small back bend should be okay. I noticed a big difference in how it felt if I was able to keep my baby pulled into my spine. Hope that helps 💞

What about popping my back my twisting? Is this bad? It feels so good to gently force a sitting twist and pop my back, but am i increasing my risk?

Even I want the answer to this question... I'm six weeks pregnant and I popped my lower back. Will it hurt my baby or affect my pregnancy??? Plz tell..
