@@lilyofdesire When this video was made 6 months ago, those units did not have the Vanguard invader keyword. The change to those units is a great buff for Vanguard Onslaught.

Broodlord with Genestealers backed up by a Winged Hive Tyrant is the best subset of units in this detachment. The movement is better than everything except gargoyles. The durability of these models are the best you can get in melee as -1 attack debuff and -1 hit debuff both being applied and 2 instances of surprise attack utilizing the free strategem means two chances of battleshock to avoid strategems being played on that unit which also provides +1 to hit (negating any -1 modifiers) and a possible +1 to wound. I run the Winged Hive Tyrant with scything talons to get a super boosted Lictor profile at 9 attacks S 7 AP -2 D 2. Now the real scary thing to do is to use assassination beasts (precision) to eliminate a key character.

I personally like the tyranocyte. Can pack a screamer killer inside or a full unit of pyrovores backed up with zoanthropes turn one, blocking pathsand able to sponge shots then jumping off feild again etc

Prime +Warriors are so nice. Synapse and really punching in damage, especially with a neurolictor buff. I also Like the Norm Assimilator with the strategem that allows him to come in T1 with a 7 inch charge due to harpooned. Neurolictors, deathleaper and gargoyles are obvious auto-includes.

I've tried the Winged Prime in a few games also the Warriors. In my gaming group, they just don't cut it so they are out. I do take 1 squad of gargs and Von Ryan's Leapers (love those models). Also there must be a neurolictor, they are just too good not to take at least 1. Another great unit to take is the Flyrant w Chameleonic, paroxysm plus the free strat are fantastic. Use it like a scalpel and not a sledge hammer and you'll be fine.

So far my 10 genestealers with Broodlord and my warriors with prime are my mvp for this detachment. Still not managed to get more than 5 stealers into combat. Even then they rip almost anything apart. Took out a squad of wraith guard in my last game.

Are they getting shot prior or can't fit in the fight? Broodlord in the front helps get 4-5 Genestealers in the flight via the base to made with a model that is base to base

@@jameszeropr just getting shot. I try to move them through cover of use unseen lurkers when I can. I think people know what a threat they can be and focus on them. Had a game against grey knights yesterday. My stealers locked a dread knight in its deployment. Finished it off turn 2 then took apart a marine squad before going down.
