I dont understand, for the lack of a better word, how some men are emotionally retarded, as and some are amazing. Sad life when you're with someone who drinks and shuts all emotions down. No communication, no smiling. Silence! Sad!!!???

Is it just men? I'm afraid this one's beyond the scope of PM, but there is a wide spectrum of human types. In any dimension (like emotional intelligence) there are bound to be some people at the extremes.

shutting down was learned from childhood. having to grow up too fast at a young age
