All we need to do really would be to put the cell phone for map viewing and it will capture images with camera and give feed back to the engine control unit by the cigarette lighter charging cable. Every car can have an auto pilot in 5 years

First part is like 2100 at most, but if considering the rate at which tech is evolving, that rate is 32 times more advanced in 5 years, then we will hit that by 2070 when not considering spikes in tech evo, or slowdowns. So expect that tech from 2070-2100.

All these driverless car concepts have a lounge style layout, I would want to get ready in the morning shower etc, and in a world where energy is free and plentiful having a larger less aero dynamic vehicle wouldn't be that important. I'm thinking a car like a second home would soon be a reality.
