In my opinion, cops that break the law should be held to a much greater account that the public. If a normal public man is given 5 years for blackmail, a cop should get at least 7 to 8 years. The cops are 100% financially supported by the public, they have sworn to protect and obey the Constitution. Common crimes committed by cops, claiming overtime payments when they have not worked overtime, murdering people and lying to appear as a legal shooting, assaulting the public, along with 5exual assaul, many other 'perks' of the job are seemingly ignored by the senior officers.
