I had someone end a friendship with via email and it came out of the blue. I never responded and never heard from her again. I think people are fickle. I'm learning to be a friend to myself because people will leave us for many reasons and I cannot control what others say or do.

Yes, that's why I included that one in the mistakes - I know it's tempted for people to end a friendship via text but it definitely isn't a great solution. Phone or in person is way better :) that way you can have a dialogue and hopefully have some closure for both parties.
