Would love to see how you made the potholder. Love your videos because they are more advanced than all the "beginner" hacks out there that I've already seen a thousand times. The magic loop is the only one I'd already seen. It's particularly useful for chenille yarn or other bulky yarns as those types of yarns don't pull through the loop very well. so I use a matching color of acrylic yarn to make the loops.

I appreciate that! I sometimes wonder if my hack videos are "too long" because I'm showing more in depth hacks. So I really appreciate hearing you enjoy these ideas!

So, the 2 rows of double crochet technique is really a linked double treble. Neat!

Oooh I LOVE this way of looking at it! That's one of my favorite things about posting here on KZbin - I get to hear other's thoughts and thus see things in a new light!

Hadn’t seen the pre-weaving beginning tail before. Cool. Sure, seeing how to do multiple “rows” at a time would be very interesting. Thank you for your hacks. 🦋

The weaving in the tail at the beginning was a first for me as well as the bottom to side of the basket hack and I have heard of doing two DC at once but had never seen it done. I have a tie between the basket hack and the two DC as my favs. I personally would love to see a tutorial on the pot holder.♥Thanks for some great hacks

Interesting reverse crab stitch. When I have done this stitch, I start on the left (end off the previous row), and make single crochet by reaching BEHIND the stitch/loop and going into the stitch to the right of the hook. then I just continue like that. Wonderful edging for the top of a basket. nice and sturdy

I love the idea of using it as the top edge of a basket! It would look so crisp and polished too.

I like the magic ring alternative! And I especially like that it can be knotted. I’m not sure how I feel about having to weave in TWO ends instead of one, lol, but there is no perfect solution, only trade-offs, as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out. I can’t get behind calling it magic loop, though, b/c I’m also a knitter and the magic loop is a technique to knit a small circumference with long circular knitting needles. You can certainly call it anything you want, though, and it’s an awesome hack that I have not seen anywhere else.

So glad you enjoyed! The two strands is a non-issue for amigurumi since they can just hide inside of the project, but in other applications it's a downside for sure haha Interesting about the magic loop! I only have a rudimentary understanding of knitting, but I think it's a fabulous fiber art. You taught me something new, thanks!

Nice! I'd only ever used that last hack in order to link my double crochets together to minimize the gaps, cool to see this use of it :D If you pull your loops through all 3 upper sides of the turning chain, you can make it look like 4 rows of single stitches then ^^ I hadn't seen it like that, so it's pretty neat ^^ Thanks for this vid full of interesting tips!

Ooh, yes you could apply the same idea for making it look like single crochet! I love how fun it is to adjust things in crochet to get completely new results.

I hadn't see several of those hacks. I'm really grateful for the crab stich on because I was just going to do the crab stich on a blanket. Yes l would love to learn how to do multiple rows at the same time.

Great hacks!!! I actually use #4 (going into that extra back stitch). I find this very effective especially when making the top part of slippers (transitioning from sole to upper part). Thanks!!
