Thank you! Stumbling on dog daddy was a game changer for me in training and forming a better relationship with my dog and gave me ability to take in another dog impromptu so she wouldn't be put in shelter. She needed to learn communication between her humans and impulse control and that helped her anxious peeing a ton! I still have a lot to learn and just feel as though I should go through some proper training. Your videos are helpful as well. I appreciate talking about dog behavior to explain your methods while you perform them. Those are the game changing teaching moments!

Brilliant but where were you about 10 months ago!!! Recused a GSD, who was in a shelter for over 7 months, court ordered surrender due to what the previous owner trained her to do!!! Here age is a bit fuzzy but she is reactive to dogs. We are both getting better at response, diversion, correction, refocus and some yelling at times (I yell like a NEW YORKER!!) You brought some truly excellent recommendations to light. Congratulations! I am your newest subscriber. My Goddess Freya gives you a high 5!

Great short video. I noticed a lot of slip leads in this video, would love to hear more about your opinion on them & why you prefer them in certain scenarios over others (obviously dog dependent of course)

My rescue dog doesn't know how to play, just looks confused. He also wont take treats from my hand. A lot of the training tips don't seem to be helping. He likes sitting watching me work though, which is nice, great to chat to.

Do you have any recommendations for how to prevent them from "rehearsing" when they react to a person approaching the house even when secluded, when no one is home? Her crate is in our bedroom on the second floor but she goes absolutely nuts any time a delivery person (mail, Amazon, etc) comes to the door, on the lower floor, even if they don't knock. We both work full time so she's home alone when the mail comes 5 out of 6 days. We travel occasionally with her and recently she's started barking at people who walk down the hallway of our hotel at any hour including the middle of the night. 😢

Have you stopped doing the longer podcasts? I hope not 👍

We've tried getting our GS dog in his crate before people come to the door but still, he goes nuts in his crate. Also difficult to get him to go to his place when the doorbell goes and you are not expecting it, you can't keep him in his crate all day. Also doesn't help when you're walking outside and another ignorant dog owner with a Cockapoodle and two chihuahuas walks their dogs off leash and they come bounding towards my GS who is walking to heel on leash lovely then starts Barking and going nuts as the stupid little dogs run up the road in front of a car to get within 4 feet of my dog. I tell the owner to get her dogs on a lead and under control but she just ignores me. What hope have we the responsible owners got in training dogs properly? All we get is that dogs is aggressive.

😂ye ,blame others

@@louiseanderson4625 Yes I do blame ignorant owners. So you think its ok to have three dogs out for a walk with two off lead that the owner has no control over, lets them run infront of cars and Harris dogs that are walking on leash and minding their business? Its dogs off the leash and out of control that can cause cars to have accidents when they swerve to avoid them. Not to mention them allowing them shit everywhere and not pick up their mess.

I have had more success rewarding my dog for leaving the window to come to me. It's just not realistic for all of us to keep out dogs away from the window.
