I think it's amazing that Fergus knows what burns smell like because of his own burns, but instead of turning away from that same smell on a human he actually leans into them! He knows! He knows it was humans who burned him, maybe even on purpose, knows the pain and fear, but still offers empathy and support to us. It's an incredible display of forgiveness and a wonderful lesson about how humans can also let go of their trauma, just like Fergus did. What Fergus is teaching us is that if we can connect with our roots in the natural world, as an animal species ourselves, we will come to understand how capable we are. And really, we have to be, don't we? Because we do live on. Life still happens and we have to live in it no matter our trauma. Fergus has a whole lot to teach us, and he is so willing to give of himself, to forgive humans, to let go of his accident and all that came with it, and just move forward. What a beautiful, beautiful thing. Very touching episode. Thank you Cesar! And Fergus!

First, I want to hug you, Cesar, for all the good you do for dogs and humans. I I truley love you. If I am ever lucky enough to meet you, look out for a big grandma hug. Second I'd like to thank Fergus's mom and dad. My husband endured 3 yrs of chemo. He said the best times were when a therapy dog was there to visit. We had planned on returning the kindness by having our two Frenchies become therapy dogs. Now that I have had some time to heal after his passing, I'm more determined than ever to accomplish the mission we wanted to complete in my husbands name.

She is very hyper , and destroys things in my home. She also jumps up and gouges her nails into my arms, leaps in chairs , grabs towels etc. She also pulls on the leash, especially when she sees a dog. I loved this session on leash pulling. She acted just like Fergus. I would like to see more of that leash position, and also how to stop destructive behaviour, etc

Cesar Millan knows EXACTLY how to train owner(s), along with their dog(s), and since I was needing solid instructions on how to teach my 2 yr old dog Elliott, to stop pulling, I decided to watch this video. I'd say, 5-10 minutes into our 1st walk, Elliott was 75-80% trained, and by our 3rd walk that same day, he had it down completely. To me, self confidence as you teach your dog new things, is key.😊

Your growing wisdom about dog behavior is actually just a bridge for you to be able to sense the imbalances in human energy and to help bring humans into better balance themselves. Absolutely Amazing!!! I wish I could have this type of success with my dog. She was attacked by another dog when she was a little puppy and was injured. She acts like she has PTSD when she sees another dog. Even when I take her out in the car she sits up in her car seat like a Prairie Dog looking out the window for another dog. When she sees a dog walking down the street she becomes aggressive hitting her paws against the window and barking. She is very gentle and loving with all the people that she meets.
@dinnyf5 ай бұрын
I’m a behaviour modification specialist and I guarantee you that the problem you have is that you allow your dog to be in an excited state (cesar’s first correction coming out of the house with fergus was to change his state and not allow him to be excited and lead, but to be calm and follow). Owners hold on and perpetuate dogs backstories constantly. It becomes an excuse for bad behaviour. PTSD is very rare in dogs. If a dog is calm in the car (you must train a relaxed down, stay) then you lead her in to calmness on leash. When you expect and allow excitement and anxiety you get reactivity and aggression. To the dog, it’s what you are actually asking for with your expectation.
@caroleblanks13554 ай бұрын
@@dinnyf Thank you for taking the time to comment and give me advice. I have owned so many dogs in my lifetime and never had this type of problem before. The other dogs were so easy to train and had calm personalities. This one is so hyper. She is affectionate and loves people. She was easy to housebreak and teach basic commands, but the sight of another dog just sets something off in her brain to the point she doesn't hear what you are saying to her. I will try your suggestion.
