Right, but the downside it that they are one of the countries with the highest stress. People are always busy and life is fast paced. It's opposite with the Philippines but the downside is, Filipinoes tend to be less ambitious and easily satisfied so a lot of people are laid back and not very motivated.

Actually, the Filipino time is actually a value we inherit from the Spaniards. Try to visit places like Mexico, Colombia and even Spain. They also have that sense of time. I believe that before the arrival of the Spaniards we are also pretty strict with time management but when they came we adopted their values.

When I first heard the word "time", I was laughing af cuz that's the number one difference between the Philippines and Japan. Filipinos have what we called Filipino time 🤣 it's a Filipino culture that setting official time but arriving late or delayed hahaha I think, the reason why Filipino has this kind of culture because most of Filipinos have habit of "petiks" (It's a Filipino slang word of procrastinator, being sluggish or chillin') and also traffic jam are one of the factor why Filipinos couldn't handle their time properly However, as a Filipino, sometimes I was annoyed because my friend(s) didn't arrive on time; While waiting, I was bothering if they will come or not but thanks, they came after I waited for a minutes or even worst an hour(s) 😰😌 but I admit sometime I came late like what they did 😅 but as we have that culture, we adapt it and quite common thing here in our country (even though it's a bad practice and has some negative impact in our lifestyle) Actually, Filipinos are so really amazed regarding to Japanese time management because I, myself, imagine how my time expectations arrived exactly. I also admit that one of my envious thing in Japanese people is they are puctual and they manage their time properly , not only as individual Japanese but also as a whole ( when it comes to transportation like trains, buses etc they arrived on time, exact time. I heard, some headlines of Japanese newspapers are talking about the apology of a train company because their train arrived late. I was totally wow! really shocked, amazed and thinking "Does it really exist?") But after all, despite of having some factors ( like forever traffic jam everywhere in the ph lol jk) that Filipinos affect their being punctuality , Filipinos are trying their best to get on time because we value time and we also believe "Time is Gold".

I only have one brother, but I have a lot of relatives and friends. My dad's 20 member family is in Iloilo, Visayas, Philippines. Then my mom have so many family members! Alot of them live in different places. So right now, I live in Negros Occidental, Visayas, Philippines. Whenever there is an event like Christmas, new year, a family member birthday, Halloween and more events, all of my relatives come to our place, even tho they live so far from us, and also my friends I met online or my cousins come too. So it gets easily crowded in my place. So yeah, it's normal for Filipino's to have a lot of family members. I love how alot of people all around the world are so curious about our culture, well we Filipino's are also curious on other countries culture too! But we don't worry about time, I mean here in my hometown, we celebrate birthday at night and sometimes in the afternoon, because we prepare at morning. I am really a deep sleeper because like I woked up at like 7:00 or 8:00 am.

"Filipino Time" sometimes have different causes why it happens. The most common one tho' is waking up late😅😅😅 if the agreed time was in the morning but if the agreed time was a little bit in the afternoon then variables starts to set in🤔🤔 like hard to find transportation 'coz there are too many passengers, accidents happen on the road, road emergencies (ie. sudden machine malfunctions for transportations, tires blasted and etc.) and many more. The usual "alibi" of Filipinos for me, which is the traffic" is not that valid for me tho' (sorry my fellow Filipinos🥺🥺). It can happen to you one time but after that, you cannot give it as an excuse again. It's like you know that your area is traffic prone but you still stay up late at night watching Netflix or Viu or grinding at online games,🤭🤭 you will really end up late again no matter what you do.🤭🤭 Yes traffic is a big problem in the Philippines but with proper precautions and time management, it cannot be your kryptonite.🤘🤘 Nice video our cute Mana!❤❤🥰🥰 Thank you for sharing your thoughts about some culture shocks that Philippines and Japan have, I always watch your videos and I love your cute, jolly and happy going attitude! (We call it "kalog" in the Philippines 🥰🥰) New subscriber here and we will support you always🥰🥰❤❤

Hi there, new subscriber here. As someone who is of mixed culture myself (Born in HK but I grew up and lived in the Philippines) What you guys had pointed out is very true. Although, as what other people here had mentioned, every society has their own ups and downs. One thing I deeply appreciate about Filipinos is how positive they can be. Situations which would cause a breakdown for most people, Filipinos? they just suck it up and move on with their life. I admire their optimism about things and positive outlook in life. As for Japan, the thing I really admire about you guys is how polite and respectful you are. No matter if its a person of different culture or race. Anyways, all the best to you and your channel. Stay safe always.

Mana chang we are 12 siblings and the good thing is if you have lot of siblings if you have problem any kind they support each other and also filipino people is like helping each other even neighbor. Like if you really need to do something and you siblings is far away you can ask your neighbor to look after your children for a short time. Not like in japan. You dont know your neighbor and thats why you cannot ask any favor. So thats why a lot accident happen in japan. Like they left kids alone and sometimes they left many hours and sometimes happen some accident. Did you watch news this past few days here in japan? Many children died because parents left them alone. Not like in the philippines you can count or trust your neighbor to look up your children even 1 day. Not like in japan they dont care about their neighbor. I am so sorry for those mommy that they cant ask help. So thats why a lots of pilipinos here in japan is so close to each other because you can count on each other. Helping each other. Lots of filipino community here in japan. I feel sorry because some japanese is close minded. Sorry to say that but its true. I live here in japan for almost 32 years. Thank you mana chang.

Your curious about our culture. But me i love to in your country i love anime so much. I had fun watching anime. Theres a lot of good things in our personality. But sometimes its too much for some other people. They abuse of being like what you've in your blog. Being late is not good. Maybe sometimes its acceptable but not all the time. Because being late was bad habbit. Its not bad to think about future. Your family or parents just want to secure your future. But not all the time i understand you about being nervous and stressed thinking of your future. Sometimes its better to go with the flow. Maybe we need to balance of being easy go lucky and being serious. :) this is my first time watching your channel. And i would like to thank about loving and liking our country. I feel like all those things are the positive things of what a decent nation should strive for. Number 1 punctuality is a must. Filipinos waste their time on the most trivial of things most of the time. Time is precious. Time management is very important if you want to be successful at everything you do. i always feel like i can do more things or i could have done better with what i was doing if i manage my time better. 2nd looking better feels better. cute > sexy (my opinion). 3rd plan your future, we humans evolve higher than the apes because we visualize the future or dream of the future. Planning for your future is a positive thing, the hurdle is how you go about it and when you are actually putting on the effort of what was supposed to be your plans. My advice, be consistent and whatever it is your doing stay the course, stick to the plan! you will get there! 4th, being serious is called being mature! most of the people in the Philippines needs it.be serious about your job, be professional. last one was about family, plan and make sure you provide the basic needs of your family. not funny to see people with 6 kids that they cannot feed.. if you can afford to provide for a family of 12 go for it otherwise live within your means. filipino time is not funny especially at work. -_-
