Was very amazed to see a "pure Custodes" list without allied units score so high. Even without sisters of silence. Thats what I like playing my custodes the most

As someone putting together my custodes list this is a huge help. I fel like custodes get funneled into the same list lately. I do need to pick up some Sisters of Silence but its nice to see a few lists without them. I should still get some though

I never understood the "only 100-150p" argument. Thats exactly what we have been missing. Those two sqads of whitchseekers that make playing the game SO MUCH EASIER. Finally i feel like i have enough preasence to back up the raw power of proper custodes units

The Mani list played fixed objectives. the swords let him still do cleanse/teleport etc whilst in combat

@@ZackZarrilli you can shoot in combat with pistols. So if locked in combat, it still allows you to deploy teleport homies or cleanse. If you had spears, you couldn't

Thank you so much for all your videos! They are great! On March 9-10, I will participate in a 90 player tournament here in Italy. I will bring a list with 18 Allarus, 5 Guards, assassins and other small stuff. I don’t understand why many players have focused only on the Custodes infantry and ignored the terminator spam. I think they’re great!

Do you do a lot of teleporting to get secondaries?

@@sarnxero2628 depends on the primary mission and the cards drawn, but in general, to score secondary I use two assassins, 2 units of Prosecutors, 1 of Witchseekers and a unit of Henchmen. Allarus are the hammer that I use to hit hard enemy units .

I was about to start custodes and I absolutely am making a non optimal but fun (for me) list. I have an allied Knight crusader with a Warden block led by Trajian. A 2 Allarus with the leader with Veild Blade. A shield captain with a 4 block of Wardens. Jetbike squad of 2 with Captain. The a full Vigilators squad led by Aleya. Like I said. Not optimal, but I'm excited to try it out

Only just looking to get into this army. Was happy to see the new box coming out, will be an easy path to a 2k army with the combat patrol. Seeing this lists are all non-forgeworld models makes me feel even better about it.

Yeah, but Combat Patrol + Battle Force will give you 9 Vertus Praetors- thats a looot of bikes for a Custodes army 😅

I've heard they aren't very good. But I'm not sure why, though. Is it just that they are overcosted or some other issue?

@@ThePhildozer89 As I understand (although I am also a beginner) they are overcosted for what they bring, Guards are reliably great and cheaper for example - Rejnols Has a video about them. I think its not something to be too concerned with when building a first army though, as the discount boxes really pack a lot of points for 'cheap'

I have a tournament March 24 This is the list I'm planning to run: Trajann Valoris Warlord Blade Champion 5 Custodian Guard 5 Custodian Wardens 5 Allarus Custodians 3 Venatari Custodians 3 Venatari Custodians Prosecutors Witchseekers Caladius Grav-tank Caladius Grav-tank My tournament has some leviathan style terrain and some more open styles so vehicles and dreadnoughts have blown me away in the past. I'm hoping using my new 2nd tank makes a difference.

Sadly i don't, but that is because i don't play Warhammer in general anymore. I was a bit burnt out, awaiting the codex to revive my passion, but the rules werent just bad, they were boring.. So right now i haven't played Warhammer in 8ish months.

mani cheema took the swords and shields because of the 4 wounds you get and a lot more dmg3 stuff coming because of us and crons. so an additional sword dude with 4 wounds, helps there

I understand why they are there, what I was saying was that there wasn't rhyme or reason as some units had 2 guys others had 3

Nah It's more then just the 4 wounds etc. It was a big brain move. He has took them purely for the pistol keyword so it opens up a lot more Secondaries. The swords etc don't even come into it.

Just getting into custodes, got a box of wardens and guard to build. Wondering if building one of each with the vexillia is worth it or just all spears all the time?

On the wardens you can just add a vexilla for free and not lose a spear (The best weapon at the moment) so there is no reason not to take the vexilla for wardens. For Guardians you lose a spear (Gain a shield) so I tend to no longer use them. (As does most of the Meta). I do use and see 1 shield in a 5 man unit so you can dump 2 shots of 3 damage on him and lose 1 guy.

I bought a combat patrol, 5 warden, 3 allarus and a blade champion. we are just playing 1000pt army. 1x blade champion 120pt 4x guards 180pt 4x prosecutors 40pt 4x prosecutors 40pt 3x allarus 195pt 4x wardens 200pt 3x vertus praetors 225pt 1000pt Any suggestions you can give me.
