Great video! I really enjoyed hearing those elk squeal! I was too slow turning on the camera a few weeks ago when they bugled right next to my camp. Woke me up and loud enough to scare ya until you realized what it was! If it was easy, it wouldn't be much fun!

I've never hunted Elk much but this was fun .. especially that one day when they were really talking .. but that dang wind just kept swirling and changing directions ... Thanks!

Good looking country Brett. Cool when you can hunt elk during the rut. Hope you can get your nephew on a good bull before the hunt ends. Years ago we chased bear down by Cuba and Regina. Had a 6 point bull bulging at us while we were putting the dogs on a bear. He was only about 200 yards away and completely ignored us. The country looked about the same. Keep it up love your videos and your mules. 👍

Thanks Norman .. I was my Nephew ... him and I have been hunting together since he was a little guy .. my grandson had the deer tag but he didn't get to go this year .. I have another video I will make of the deer hunt .. not much too it really just 2 days ! But I have some more hound hunting coming up and a really good interview with Jim Farmer .. and I will be going and recording several old lion hunters next week .. Thanks Norman!

Only downside to hunting elk during the rut, is usually its to warm….but the bugles, gets the blood pumping…..funer and fun er. 🤠👍🏻. Thanks

Brett unfortunately that happens a lot hunting & hiking maybe riding mules sometimes nothing after days. At least have couple dropped Elk antlers . Where is this looks like my area Payson Az? Or surrounding area.- onward & upwards.

Well I had the truck as a company truck that the man that worked for me drove .. he retired so I started using it now its just me .. the trailer I borrowed from the Father ... had to haul 3 mules and my little 5 wide can only haul 2 .. Thanks Tom !

David Butler. I have plenty of experience riding just not mules. I live in a flat area with little to no rocks so it’s never been something I needed. But I have been riding more and in more difficult terrain plus wanting to start packing so a mule has a lot of draw for me now.

Riah Marsh. Hey, mules ride like horses. No biggie. Just load up and go. If something falls off, stop and go pick it up. Oh it’s better if you can balance a load. Mules and horses will act up if not balanced. They have pack a saddlebags put on a regular riding saddle. Just open the gate, tell them to “load up”! And get on the road. Just g-o ! Is what I’m saying. It’s nice to ask around though on how to. Don’t be afraid or worried you haven’t done something right. I’m sure you treat your animals good, that’s about it- just saddle up-
