I cannot tell you how much I respect that you know you aren't in a place to have a pet and so you don't get a pet. So many pets end up in shelters because people don't have time or the money to care for them. Pets are not cheap. There is no such thing as a "free" pet. Those pets need to be seen by a vet and need shots along with the basics of food and water. It's different if you were in a good place and something happened where you can't afford the vet, but if you know you don't have the extra money for a pet or don't have the time to meet the pet's needs then don't get a pet. You can volunteer at a shelter to get your puppy/kitten fix.

From October thru Feb we usually have a giant "sheet/pillow fort" with a foam king size mattress cover in our living room (yes even thru Xmas with the whole family over 😊) - It's totally awesome and a somewhat grown-up version, similar to the tent in this video, but it much larger and involves most of the living room and we decorate it for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and February - and also TVshow/movie themes or whatever - depending on what we're doing. It's a really fun new tradition my husband and I started when we first started dating & moved in together and we've been doing for years now with our friends and family really getting into it!

I think you’ve done something similar in one day, but 5 days of hand lettering. You can do a day of basics, calligraphy, brush pens, chalking, card making, so forth. Lots of options!

Absolutely adopt, don't shop! I'm so happy that I found my beautiful furball of a cat Carrie through adoption. She's such a calming presence in my life, and has helped me more than I think she'll ever realise. I'll never forget the moment she decided to pick me as her human at the shelter, because as soon as the vet took her out of the cage she jumped right on my shoulder and that was it. No matter what kind of day I've had, seeing her cute little face happy to see me come home always makes it better.

The improv activity where the scene changes when someone new joins it is my absolute favourite, in my drama academy it was called space jump. We would start every class and workshop with it and it was hard to stop, because it’s so fun. We would also sometimes play it reversed, where when everyone was in the scene the last person to join would leave and the scene would revert back to the one previous, and so on

So I just met this really cute girl and we had our first date last week, and I've decided to plan our second date for next week to celebrate the end of her college finals with a Christmas-y theme: Gingerbread House DIY Night!
