Definitely the blanket, but how many rows,and how many balls of wool to buy.... in first place to do 60 chain... absolutely LOVE that waffle weave... gorgeous.... ps... we used to raise poodles... beautiful show stock...

I think my favorite is the waffle weave blanket. I was wondering how many skeins is required. I tried to find it in the video and couldn't find it.

All these projects were great! I was SOOO excited to see the air-plant one. I’m from Miami (I’ve lived in Dallas for 23yrs now) and we always had air-plants growing up (we had one of those 70’s “airhouse” ones that was a big white lucite stand and a clear plastic dome). But I really love the glass vase recycle to look like stone/clay. I didn’t realize with Annie Sloan paint, you don’t need an adhesion primer to adhere to the glass. That’s great to know!💜

Ryan, In October 2019 I got my hair cut and before my next appointment, the pandemic hit. I have never had long hair but...I waited until July 2021 to work up the courage to step into a hair salon. My hair went from my shoulder blades to a very short pixie cut. Wish I had your natural curl.

Morning Christina, that was fun Ryan getting a haircut, he looks younger hmm, he must feel a real treat! project #1 is so lovely, the combination of transfer and paintwork, but the stencilling inside just made a perfect finish off, I think. The mirror is a sure winner but the air plant introduction stole my heart. I never know how to, and this is such a practical and interesting to show off these ungual rootless plants. There is such a variety as well! The vase/jar looks so beautiful, as the light falls on the outside it looks much lighter and the soft texture highlights the paint colours. The blanket is always so lovely with the various stiches and all we need is a bit of concentration and take your time, it is a fun project and something to be enjoyed. Thank you for sharing and showing, you are a excellent teacher. Kind regards, always a treat watching the videos.

First, let me just say that I think your art is outstanding. I do have a question regarding the mirror you decoupaged. Why did you choose to leave the frame on instead of working on them as separate pieces then putting them back together. I would love to do this with an old mirror I have & was just wondering if it's easier the way you did it. Thank you
@TheReclaimedHeirloom2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brenda!! Good question!! This one was a little difficult to take the frame off so I thought if I didn’t need to take it off to get the effect I was looking for why not give it a try. It worked for me! Lol. For yours if you can easily take it off then go for that route. Just have fun with it!!! Thanks again for watching! Greatly appreciated! 🙏🎨❤️

Another amazing tutorial! Love all your projects! The desk and that mirror...ooolala! And they look great together! Thank you for sharing the decoupage techniques. I recently found a new medium that I like using more than ModPodge. It's DIY Liquid Patina from Debi's Design Diary. Very forgiving and less "gluey". And I'm never without the cling wrap now. So much easier. Thank you again Christina for all your inspiration. Great haircut Ryan! 😊❤️

I can't chose a favorite, they are all lovely. But I do have a question about the floor vase painting. You mentioned using baking powder in regular paint if you don't have chalk paint. I have heard of using baking soda. I'd be very interested in trying the baking powder technique. What ratio of baking powder to paint? And do you add water, too?

I loved all your projects in this video, you do such wonderful work! I must say I have learned so much from watching you paint your furniture and using decoupage too! And speaking of the decoupage paper(s), wouldn’t you think that it would be better if they were shipped, rolled up into a tube rather than folded where you have to contend with the creases? Well in my fairy princess world, that would perfect! Lol. Congratulations on your new home, and again, thank you for another wonderful video. 😊

I really want to try the blanket. The way you take time and explain the process you make me believe I can do it. Bit I have a stupid question...when you make the chain at the beginning do you add 2 additional chains before you start the posts? In your sample you said you made 13 chains...then did you add 2 more before you started doing the double crochets? I hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for making the videos.

Hubby looks more handsome with the trim. His eyes become very striking without the distraction of all that rowdy hair. I wonder how he would look if he grew a line of beard just along the lower jawline. I've always admired that style on men. Hubby has a strong enough jawline on his own but a dark line of beard along the jaw could help frame those eyes. His natural beard might be too curly to keep a sharp line.
