And because of side effects I had to stop. Psoriasis came back worse than EVER BEFORE!!! Places I never had it before. My elbows went from a dime sized spot to a softball sized spot. Never had it on my legs before. Just a small tiny spot on both knees. After Humaira my legs looked like I had chicken pox or poison ivy. Now the patches are changing into my skin color & slowly going away. My skin is soft & smooth. Please Don't give up. My dermatologist said psoriasis on the hands is the hardest to clear up. This is was awesome Dr. Berry. I suspected that my vegetarian diet of 19 years contributed to my then low T issues. I switched to a Keto lifestyle in June and not long afterwards experienced a noticeable difference. Sadly, not one medical doctor gave me useful guidance by telling me that perhaps I was sabotaging my health with my dietary lifestyle. Thanks for the confirmation. 😀

Been nice if you'd have listed the 5. I'm not exactly sure I've got 'em, but here is my recap and helpful cliff notes for those who don't want to listen to the entire presentation: 1. No grains or soy 2. Eat high fat / do not eat "low fat" or "no fat" foods 3. Fast 18 to 22 hours or even up to 3 days. ( as a natural healthcare practitioner, I caution you to do a fast this long under supervision. I personally went into a semi-coma at the end of the 1st day on a juice fast about 18 years ago when I had no idea what I was doing. I can't do water fasts either) so, his point is, do not snack and/or eat all day long. Eat once and wait as long as you can before your next meal......like 8, 12, 18 or even 22 hours. 4. No sugar or sweets, not even honey or agave. 5. Nothing from plastics. When they are stored and/or cooked in ANY kind if plastic that you heat or gets hot (water in plastic bottles gets exposed to REALLY HIGH ENVIRONMENTAL heat in transpiration and the food or liquid in these containers absorb zenoestrogens.... the BAD estrogens related to cancer, excess abnormal body fat, diabetes, insulin resistance and low testosterone. Did I get everything correct?

I find this all a bit confusing now as a number of high profile Carnivore proponents (low carb) have shown to have very low Free testosterone available. I tried it for about 6 months & my sex drive tanked as did my energy. I also now see that some of these proponents are now adding back in some carbs in the form of honey or sweet potato etc. However this is something you recommend to avoid. No wonder we're all confused about nutrition !

Just do the following (it automatically includes all 5 as well) : Stop eating so much, and so often. More specifically, start training yourself with intermittent fasting, initially 12 : 12. then 16 : 8 (= 16 h no eating) until you get to OMAD (one meal a day). Wen you eat, eat 100 gram meat & 400 grams cruciferous vegetables (raw weight). Once you're there, start doing 2 day fasts - i.e just skip that one daily meal (just drink water with electrolytes (himalayan salts & potasium powder) to avoid fatigue) - you won't believe how that will reset your whole hormonal system, including testosterone. I'm in my fifties, was overweight when I started doing it, and I can absolutely testify to this - in fact, I was shocked at the extent my T count increased (I noticed it before I even got it tested).

The plastic hint I knew about in 1989 when I worked in the plastic industry and the resin manufacturers recommended never eating food out of a heated container. The resin Chemist said there is enough heat at the food barrier to the plastic to shed plastic molecules into the food. I hope this gets seen and responded to. Regarding plastics and LCHF- a method of cooking meat that is gaining in popularity is to Suvie the meat. The meat is placed in either plastic vacuum bags or zip lock bags then immersed in a hot water bath where the Suvie device maintains the water temperature constant at what ever setting you desire (usually around 130 to 160 deg F ) for anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days. From what you said about plastics this method of cooking meat could thoroughly poison it.

Actually the estrogen effect of soy is eliminated in soy sauce or tamari because of the fermentation Soy sauce has wheat though so not good if you're wheat sensitive. Also tempeh is ok. Sourdough bread and sprouted breads I believe have less glycemic effect than regular bread.
@totallyraw13135 жыл бұрын
Correct and, to be truthful, you would have to eat an absolute mountain of soy on a daily basis for it to affect estrogen levels. Jerry Brainum has talked about this in one of his videos.

So..is high cholesterol a good thing??👍👍👍 Thanks Dr Berry!
@KekeeBlack5 жыл бұрын
Russell Robinson it’s not the worst thing. As we age cholesterol does go up naturally as a protective mechanism. Eating a lot of cholesterol helps keep the ratio in check. When small dense LDL is very high that is a symptom of a bigger issue. Lowering cholesterol with statins won’t do anything for the actual cause. Check out Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s talks on cholesterol. Also the guy that wrote Cholesterol Code. I forget his name but he has devoted a lot of his career to studying cholesterol. It is vital to repairing and building the body!
