I think the 5th dimension, like time, is already present in our reality. It exists as potentiality. Just as we can't see the future, we can't see the choices we didn't make, but it's possible they all existed before one was chosen. How this is explained scientifically I have no idea.

@Cosmoknowledge: Time is not a dimension because time is an illusion that has been invented by human beings. Time is just the measurement of the velocity of objects moving through space in cycles, for example a year is time it takes for a planet to orbit around its star. Time is not a dimension instead directions and angles are dimensions.

Nope. Time is an additional dimension to spatial dimensions, not a specific 4th one. The mentioned hypothetical 1D world would also have a time in it, and it would not suddenly make it into a 2-dimensional world. The "creatures" of 2D flatland would also experience the same time as an extra non-spatial dimension.

Nature isn't wasteful. It likes simplicity and order. I cannot believe that there's a reality for every decision for every person. It's nuts. And I don't believe nature would tolerate this. The same way nature blockades faster than light travel to prevent travelling back in time which could ultimately lead to chaos.

I'm not going to give you too much guff, even though he literally just explained it...The "Law of Relativity", yeah, by Albert Einstein, states in the dimensions we live, breathe, see, can't have space without time...Which is why the fabric of space, is called "space-time"...For instance, say you want to meet a friend somewhere, you give them a "time" and "space" to meet, without both, neither of you would ever have a real high chance to actually meet each other in the future, without absolute pure luck...

W R O N G !!!!!!!! 1st dimension is time,...... You can not even draw the line with your ruler from start to finish without time. In the first dimension (time) the dot appears. The 2nd dimension a line is drawn through time,....and so on. So stop saying time is the fourth dimension it is the first.

I don't think you explained that very well, in your examples at the same time you say it's 1D or 2D you imply having a 3 dimentional space, you imagine a straight line and a flat world but you couldn't be what you are in 3D, then what would you be? That's why 3D beings wouldn't exist in 1D or 2D and your examples of a straight road or a flat map of a game don't make it much easier to swallow, you are implying height and width. For 1D it's the most complicated one to understand because if you think it's an endless tube you are still implying width and height, how thin is that line? Or how thin is height in 2D? There should be none of that, and we cannot comprehend.

Fifth dimension is to time, as 2nd dimension is to the 1st dimension. If time is a “line” and you can go backward and forward (past and future), 5th dimension is made up of an infinite number of those “lines.”

In the 2nd dimension you could still have a pair of eyes with depth perception... Right? So a circle and a square might look like different types of lines, where you can still see the curvature and how close it is to you since you just need to triangulate with eyes
