I’m not sure why people feel the need to be so negative. If it’s not for you, cool. There’s no need to be rude. Thank you for having the courage to even post a video on KZbin! Way to go!🎉 It’s GREAT to see a budget friendly food haul that is so versatile. ❤

We buy the bagged baby spinach and keep in freezer. It doesn't get soggy and can pour out small amounts into scrambled eggs or pasta sauce etc

Excellent job on nutrients and meal plan. Affordable easy and delicious. Will be making some of these dishes next week. Thank you! Lots of work and planning. I order my red lentils in bulk form Amazon, Indian stores sales them too if you have one local. Cheaper this way. I put in one gallon ball jar container. Brown lentils too. I also buy my yeast from Amazon in large bag. Out of pocket is more but last forever and cheaper than the stores and you get way more. Peace!

Should also factor in the gas used in driving to three different grocery stores.
@kimpolcar60485 күн бұрын
In my area those 3 stores are close to each other and me. The fuel cost isn't much for me. Every area is different though.
@michellegoewey29395 күн бұрын
Actually, I believe she said that all 3 were on the same street... So, unless that street is MILES long, I'm thinking the gas used was not all that much. 😊

Great video!! Love the grocery haul and the recipes❤️❤️ What vegetable bullion do you use? I currently buy boxes of veggie broth, but am looking for an alternative!
@budgetmealsforeveryone5 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for your feedback! 🙏I use Better Than Bouillon Seasoned Vegetable Base. It's under $5 at Walmart and it tastes exactly the same as the boxed veggie broth!
@dianeh39139 күн бұрын
The boxed spinach was organic. The bag was not organic. I always buy the cheaper bag too.

I'm allergic to cashews, what would you recommend for the chickpea casserole instead of those?
@budgetmealsforeveryone2 күн бұрын
@@marybruington7415 Substitutions for cashews include other nuts or seeds such as hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, or macadamia nuts. If you can't have nuts or seeds, I would use coconut cream. The casserole will have a different flavor, but it will still be delicious!

I admit that I was just about to click off of this video while listening to you add up the stuff you bought. But I wanted to see what your first dish was. Full disclosure, I'm not vegan or even vegetarian but I am interested in eating healthy. I got to say your first dish does look like it would taste good. I'll have to think about it. I have tried so many vegan and vegetarian recipes that I didn't like that I am pretty skeptical at this point. We shall see. ;-)

Not everyone keeps nutritional yeast in their cabinet and it's expensive, so this really isn't a budget friendly video. You need to mention before hand what is required.
@budgetmealsforeveryone6 күн бұрын
@@theresecooper3034 Nutritional yeast is a pantry staple for me, but I understand it's not for everyone. I get mine from Trader Joe's for 3.49 and it has 23 servings which ends up being around .15 per serving. I did mention this at 6:55-7:26 in the video, but I apologize for any misconception. 🙏

@@budgetmealsforeveryoneThat’s a fantastic price and you have nothing to apologize for. It’s a great addition for both flavor enhancement and protein. I know Ardent Michele is able to find hers in bulk bins where she lives and often posts videos with similar dishes.
