I would think it would be cool if we could unlock game backgrounds from past chapters and events. The event backgrounds by playing the event and the chapter backgrounds by playing the corresponding characters of the chapter for a certain number of rounds.

I liked how when the game first came out hooks were killer specific instead of map specific. so trapper hillbilly and wraith all had unique hook designs it made the hooks feel more personal and tied to the killer and unless you're stealth killer knowing the killer you're playing against a little early really isn't that big of an advantage.

I wish they had hook skins and cosmetics that you could change as the killer instead of just adding the dumb trinkets on the side.

While I want to agree, I really don't think it would be a good idea. Not even for the fact that knowing the killer ahead of time might give a slight advantage, it's just that having the Ormond hooks on something like RPD for example probably wouldn't fit very well and the hooks would stick out like a sore thumb.

4:03 I think it would be cool if flashbangs and firecrackers could still do the things they removed from flashlights, they are only 1 time use so wouldn't have a huge impact but could be really useful in some moments without being frustrating to play against.

I didn’t really mind lightburn being removed just because it felt like an outdated mechanic that just hurt Wraith in particular. Nurse wasn’t really affected by it since the window to burn her was so small. I think it would be fine to keep interactions like this if they affected every killer

Light burning nurse is a thing at high MMR, but that's it. Otherwise it's an unused mechanic by the majority of the player population

Same as Sadako copy tape, it can be used with another addon to make projection sound everywhere but not applying condemnation so it creates a constant paranoya

Yeah, I felt the exact same way about the removal of light burn. Survivor is already lacking in mechanics. Run, pallet, vault. Unique interactions with burning could be fun. I seriously agree with you about adding more of these unique interactions with the killers and their powers. Not to say balance isn't important, but at some point bhvr needs to remember that this is a *video game* and games are supposed to be FUN

Lightburn is an outdated mechanic that only made Wraith awful to play. It should be completely removed. BHVR should add new mechanics, however, that are more fun and interactive than lightburn.

this idea is top tier. they could even add different map effects that happen randomly to make things feel truly unique every match. maybe changing weather, different lighting options, interactable objects that actually do things. anything to make the world more immersive would be a win.

100% agree with you on the interactions. I wish instead of taking away the 7 or so we had, they put in the work to give a small *balanced* interaction for each killer... So using a flashlight had more purpose then ... blinding at pallets. Skull Merchant - Blind Drones to temporarily deactivate them (like how Nemi zombies work). So you don't have to get a claw trap if you just want to pass through it mid-chase. Knight - Blind a guard on patrol could destroy it early. Would really help against the 3 gen problem he has. Wesker - You could lightburn the Uroboros. So when you're shining it on him, he can't activate his power. (Good for stopping him from vaulting a pallet) Dredge - Shining a flashlight at a locker with a dredge in it would teleport him back to his original spot (Wouldn't happen too often since most dredges don't sit in lockers, but a cool feature nonetheless) Sadako - Blinding a Sadako would cause her to demanifest or manifest (The opposite of whatever it is)... could backfire really easily. Like, there's so many ways to make flashlights more prevelant, and I'd love for them to just add a small little gameplay feature for each killer. Perhaps with killers that are struggling with flashlights like, Hag... you could make it so Flashlights *trigger* the trap rather than destroy it. So she can still teleport to it, but the survivor will be farther away.

As a wraith player, lightburn sucks. I have had games where I just don’t have a power cuz someone brought built to last and double battery flashy and even a swf with all flashes. It’s not fun and just makes wraith less fun.

going off what you said at around 3:30 about the golden weapon. it’d be cool if, for example, you get merciless victory 10/20/50/100 times as Huntress and get a Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum axe in return

Splinter offerings were removed because of cheaters using them as a survivor to be able to have 2+ killers in one trial.

I would love splinter addons to come back, to 'trial run' new killers before getting them. The game has changed quite a bit, and I don't think hackers have the power to change your offering so.

I would happily welcome all of these ideas! When it comes to the Bubba masks, it's good they are no longer tools for harassment but I was saddened by the removal because they were one of the few unique immersions of a licensed killer entering the Realm, the Entity gave Bubba a reward like a child with candy. I have a wholesome headcanon that Bubba gave up his masks so that Pinhead could have his voice back! They happened around the same time together. Also, respect to all the players that had to play 100+ matches to earn them, especially the Jake one. Not all Bubbas are bad. 2. I wish you could make use of items that despawn at the campfire if you escaped with them. The Lament Configuration, the RE syringes and sprays, etc. I imagine some survivors would want to tinker with them for potential use. Lovely video. ❤

As somebody who always used gold camo on everything in Black Ops 1, I love the idea of Gold Cosmetics being rewarded for adept challenges. It gives people the want to actually do them and play the game longer - and I live the idea of golden statues running around the realms.

when I first started DBD I thought botany knowledge didn't work unless you're close to grass or any plant in the realm and when I used it I made sure I was standing in any grass to have value, that was really interesting to me back then so yeah I agree with the environmental stuff very much XD

While I think meme addons are fun I think they should be added or tweaked to give a downside and weird upside. Like plague and legion they both have. Legion's meme addon is a whole new weird version of legion instead of being super fast with a short window of time to hit people you are a slower speed but with a longer window of time to hit people. Imo those are waaaay more interesting then just "you are now just worse."

@@AZHYMOVS For wraith it's just worse wraith. what if in exchange for the terror radius while cloaked he is completely invisible and makes none of his wraith sounds. so while you do have a terror radius you are cloaked in another way and can even use perks to your advantage to play wraith completely stealthing

Meme add ons are so annoying because it takes up space and blood points in the web when your forced to chose it. It takes the place of things I’d actually want instead and never get used

My balance idea for the scourge hooks would be that you start with four scourge hooks like now, but everytime you hook someone on one it deactivates to a normal hook after the unhook. Then when the last one deactivates it changes four random hooks back to scourge hooks after some set amount of time. This way the killer could not farm one hook and it would make it harder to use but still useful as it would not be limited by any other way if you can hook the survivors on the scourge hooks. Of course this would most likely cause people to use perk that turns basement into scourge hooks but at least it would be another perk they have to use and maybe make people do some other builds with them.

All basement hooks are scourge hooks in the case of any scourge hook perks as all of them have the line "Basement hooks count as scourge hooks" I like the idea of changing the scourge hook locations I think they should cycle one at a time tho Hook with scourge hook, unhook, scourge hook is removed and a different hook becomes a scourge hook Because having to use all 4 of them before the hooks reset can be horrible due to how scourge hook spawns are random

@@hellhound74 Onle Perk that turns basement hooks to scourge hooks is Monstrous Shrine as its main point is to make basement more dangerous. You missed the point of the hook changing suggestion as it was ment to give them a nerf as thats what the devs want. It would not be much of nerf if it immediately respaws the scourge hook and again you have four to chose from.

The only think I like about the LightBurn change is the one with Hag traps. Manually removing Hag trap makes sense, although it would be pretty toxic with those Hag players who put all 9 traps down infront of a hook.

There is 1 time I saw a map offering being used and the map not being the one from the offering. Everyone was shocked at the end game chat because they never saw that before, me including. That was the first and single time i saw a map offering not working.

BHVR should add xp offerings since there are way more killers and survivors to purchase than ever before. Having a way to get more iridescent shards would be nice. Also, I don't get why survivors cost the same as a killer when survivors only bring 3 perks, while a killer also includes an entire power with unique addons. Survivors should be half the price of a killer or 7k shards at the very least.

I agree, not a fan of them removing flashlight interactions from killer. Also the buff Hag is getting by removing flashlights from destroying her traps is more of a nerf than buff for her. Not everyone is going to run a flashlight, but now everyone can just disarm her traps and she becomes that much weaker, just a terrible change by the devs.

I do have some suggestions on a bit of fun flashlight interactions they should implement: Freddy: Wake up others slightly faster then normal. Spirit: Blinding the husk stops her phasing. Ghosty: Reveals him quicker. Demodog: Disables the portal for a short duration. Oni: Reveals blood orbs. Twins: Force a Victor to switch to Charlett. Pinhead: Removes chains you shine on. Dredge: Makes you see a little bit better during nightfall. (You know like flashlights are ment to do) Knight: Blinding the knights makes them go hysterical. Skull: Pauses the exposure and the revealing for a short duration.

so you talked about item interactions with killer powers so here are some of my ideas: Clown: You can expend a number of med-kit charges per second to make yourself immune to the clowns tinctures Spirit: Blinding her husk will knock her out of ethereal plane Pig: The survivor can spend a large amount of time (like 30-60 seconds) to remove a reverse bear trap directly but the punishment is failing a skill check makes you lose time and will not pause the timer running out to be performed Trickster/Huntress: survivors can use a toolbox to sabotage lockers so they'll be stunned when using one wesker/nemesis: keys will instantly unlock their unique chests and will not alert the killer when using the item inside pyramid head: a key can be used to release yourself from a box cenobite: a key can be used to instantly solve the box while on the ground Plague: a med-kit could be used to cure her infection but only when not fully infected or maybe can be used to clean an item

I'm a little sad that Lightburn is being removed, It was such a fun mechanic, especially when you got it off. Pretty much everyone agrees that burning Nurse was a lot harder than burning Wraith as the window to burn Nurse was a lot smaller and harder to hit. It would have been cool if they added in more killers that could be affected by Lightburn so it wasn't just Nurse and Wraith that were affected, killers like Spirit could have had a mechanic similar to Lightburn if you got it off on her husk while she was phasing

I wish they would bring back the moonlight offerings. Going in to a game now feels too bright on certain maps. Ormond doesnt feel like a horror game but if you could dim the moonlight on it and thicken the mist a little bit, it could actually be pretty creepy.

i would like to see plant foraging like you said because i think that would make the perk good and interesting along side providing fun interactions with the maps, also would keep the perk in check so it would be balanced and would not need its downside maybe instead of sopping hemorrhage it could buff a use of a med kit every time you found and made a plant based medicine, like a bandage dressing that would increase healing speed by a little bit., rocks or pebbles are a fun idea too. i fee like the hag taps are way better off now wiht no flash light burn. it feels way better to play.

earnable cosmetics for prestige level would be nice as well, like we have what lvl 9-100 is absolutely noting to gain from it, it would be cool if they added in something cool to earn there, maybe some new challenging missions to do and have these missions to be hard to do so that they are worked for, u know something id want tho, id want them to bring back the moon offerings for maps, but ofc have them reworked, and have it to only turn maps into day and night cycles and not control the actual lighting levels like it use to

Bring back those offerings that allowed you to free-trial certain killers with no perks or add-ons! I'm being extremely cautious about spending my money or Iri shards on killers because I'm not sure if I'm going to like playing as them. I already made that mistake with Spirit.

@@MiguelMem Maybe, but they should have dedicated resources to fixing the bugs. Those were the only offerings that actively makes them money. I personally haven't bought at least 4 killers because I can't be sure if I'll be playing them. The only reason why I got Nemesis now is because of the sale, but if I had been able to test him before I'd have gotten him at full price.

Ive seen it happen on console i was playing survivor there was 2 map offerings for both different maps and when the game loaded the entity did not pick neither of the 2 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 they had cold wind , and Autoshop , we got doctors map Side bar they aren’t removing it from hag you have to crouch go the trap and use the flashlight which takes 2-3 seconds to destroy so they cant immediately destroy her traps on chase hag is the only one who will have the mechanic because devs said “she will be to aggressive without it”

Wraith getting punished for having the audacity of using his power is something I'm glad will be gone but I don't think it was ever a problem for nurse to begin with. I've never seen anyone try to light burn nurse cause she can teleport out of the beam, and punish survivors. I think it would've been better if the flashlight paused nurse's blink timer and makes her unable to let go of the blink while being shined on. Idk I'm not game designer but I think I would do better then whoever came up with the new patch.

Tbf i wouldn't mind if they change the bread addon for knight to meme addon (cause it's don't do anything anyway). For example: Shorter guard detection range (7 meters or so,) and more bp for every guard interaction (and maybe like legion or plague some up side like + 7 second hunt )

I think rather than removing flashlight interactions, they should have added more, make most killers have some form of unique interaction with flashlights and give us the old timing back

While I agree that they shouldn't remove flashlight interactions, I think it would also be a mistake to make most killers have interactions with them. Because otherwise you make it so that bringing a flashlight into every match becomes the obvious choice.

I feel like all killers having some interaction (although not always make it super strong) would be good Dredge for instance you Could remove the remnant with a flashlight For knight you could stop the minions from chasing you if you shine a flashlight at them (blind them basically) Not always something huge just enough to make it more than just a save tool

i wish instead of getting rid of flashlight interactions, they just added additional item-killer interactions to the killers that don't currently have any. i agree with the comments saying that wraith was most negatively impacted by flashlights, so maybe they could have adjusted the lightburn mechanic for him, so it has a much weaker stun, or a different effect -- like hindering him for a couple seconds or something.

Honestly, I really do think the lower rarity of map offerings coming back could be nice, maybe to have less bloat in the bloodweb you could completely remove the reagent offerings. I also feel like the chance for the lower tier offerings should be made a bit higher, something like 8 and 20 respectively for brown and yellow instead of 2 and 5. Also, some specific cosmetic for getting Adept on a killer would be kinda nice, though the only issue is that some killers' weapon cosmetics aren't really all that super visible, like Pinhead's chain for example, you don't really see it all that often or for very long. So maybe, just maybe, it could also include a body cosmetic, and possibly even the head and just include everything. Same goes for survivors. It does mean a lot more work for the devs, and unfortunately doesn't work with the Stranger Things characters since they're no longer purchasable and you can't adept them anymore. But regardless, some unique cosmetic for getting a respective character's adept would be nice, and maybe even something for getting to P100, since there's literally no benefit going past P9 in the current game other than minimal changes to the bloodweb node rarities.

It’s crazy to think how what we used to play is essentially a different game that no longer exists. Almost every perk, add-on, and item has been through multiple iterations or discontinuations. Even maps. Basically anything fun to do is removed. I realize balance is important, but that’s why you don’t MAKE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE 😠

I mean wesker does have 2 meme addons, technically. Jewel beetle is more for throwing as you have less distance after a bound to slam a survivor against something and so you turn survivors into frisbees. Then there’s walkie…too much of a joke to use
