I take the fish finders out of my boat when on the road. On longer trips, I also remove my trolling motor from the bracket and lay it on the boat floor. The constant bouncing is rough on these items, and I can't afford to replace them. It also helps with theft, too. Fish finders are kept in the house when I'm not on the water.

Great job thanks for the info. There is something that I use for those contaminated connections called DeoxIT just spray on both sides of the connections.

Great ideas! Looking at your pitot tube, it looks like it should be replaced. Just my opinion. Love how you came up with these!

Great video, very informative! I had a Garmin Graph by the console like you have next to the throttle. Got caught in a downpour trailering back, spray from road ruined it. Now I take them off when trailering 😅

Once you've cleaned out your electrical connectors with the vinegar etc put some of that dilectric grease on the male end of the connector and plug the female end in. Also, that sandpaper can bring spark plaugs back to live if they're really nasty by sanding clean the terminals... it's not a permanant fix but it'll get you home.

I always use transmission fluid on all my connections now, I find it works way better than anything else to prevent corrosion. 👍

I would love to see you cover or enclose those lures for Lillie's sake. Dogs are like kids. It's only a matter of time before they do something you didn't expect and depending on where those hooks penetrated it could be quite painful. Especially if it's in a tongue. They have a mind like a young autistic child and don't understand how much some things could hurt or that they even could get hurt. Also, if you hit a floating log or a boat hits you that could be a problem. Probably isn't good enough for my dog so I'm always thinking of these things 🙂
@oakironoutdoors2436 Жыл бұрын
I only place those lures out there when I'm by myself or someone else is with me and Lily stays home. I will never even leave a lure out anywhere when Lily is with me. So no worries.

Pitot tube speedometers are crap. Just use your phone if you need to know how fast you are going. Why anyone needs a speedo on a boat, I have no idea. Everything I own, except my truck, is old. The truck was a mistake.
