Let me correct something this lady dont know, Blogger owns by google, so there is no any obstruction for it by google when we talks about ranking, indexing, advertising or any other thing. Im using blogger for 12 yesrs now and made many wellknown blogs with them. My advice to this lady is never share knowledge if you dunno it perfectly.

Blogger and Wordpress is absolutely ok, just work on the HTML code, SEO and just buy a domain name...not everyone has a negative opinion of free platforms, otherwise why did Google spend billions updating their platform? 🤷🏽‍♂️ It's NOT a dumb mistake

As a beginner you can go with something like Bluehost (anastasiablogger.com/bluehost) there are many in a similar range for starters but I recommend this one because I started with them 4 years ago. When your site gets over 100k visitors per month, it make sense to move to a more pricey managed hosting, I use anastasiablogger.com/bigscoots and can't speak highly enough of their team and support
