Christina,This weeks paintings were incredibly gorgeous. When you first painted those sailboats on I thought you were crazy to paint over them. Then when I saw those two children painted on I fell in love. They made me feel like I could walk up and take one of their hands and walk with them. However, that single painting took my breath away. I love it so much I would buy it if it was for sale. It is the most relaxing painting to look at. You are so talented. I can not wait until you give us a tour of you new home. Hello Christina, all these years I watched you paint the furniture and rooms and never knew that you are a fine art artist. WOW!!!! I just can't believe you have been decoupaging furniture and wall art when you could have been painting it yourself. You are amazing. I am so very happy to see you get back to being in touch with your inner self and to creating from the heart. it is so good for you. As much as I enjoy watching the speeded version of your art creations, to be honest, I would love if you created maybe separate tutorials where you teach us, step-by-step how to paint these art works. That's what I love, furniture art, not just one color, of mixed colors, but art painted on the furniture. I don't have any education in this, so I have been following some tutorials online, but instead of painting on canvas, I have been painting these very same art pieces on furniture. Think about it because it requires so, so much patience to expain everything step by step. Either way, i am enjoying what you have been doing and so, so very happy for you. Thank you. It would be nice to make videos in the future with step by step instructions its a challenge sometimes as I make a video each week which I love to do and it brings the community here on KZbin! It's a nice feeling and I am so happy that everyone here is enjoying the videos!! I think eventually I will do that once I can build a good support network here on KZbin that would like to see more step by step DIYs here like Painting. Hi Christina. I have to say I really liked both the sailboats and children. I suppose it would depend on what room you wished to place them in as to what to chose. I like the illusion of the objects and love oriental styles. I just thought I would tell you that you remind me so much of a girl I was in art school with in Toronto in late 60's.

That's what I love, furniture art, not just one color, of mixed colors, Or decoupage, transfer...but art painted on the furniture. I don't have any education in this. I'm a civil engineer by profession but I really enjoy drawing and painting and I've been hand painting some furniture instead of using decoupage or other painting aids. absolutely wonderful. All three paintings the sailboats and the girls and the little boy just beautiful. I live in Louisiana small town Belle Rose Its kinda in between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. I am hoping that you can inspire me to do paintings or images of the old houses like the Plantations with the Oak trees lining the driveway. I have found oak tables and a huge desk that where I can work on my DAY'S and dressers on Facebook marketplace, I was a nurse but with a birth defects I can no longer do that. And I love diy's. With redecorating this place where I am living. I have learned how to walk on a left leg I can't feel. Very challenging. And determined. In a few more weeks I will be home again and I am ready to start. Then I will show you what I have accomplished before and after. Thank you for inspiring me. I hope you don't mind me calling you my muse. Thank you again. Oh and your dogs are so adorable. It lifts me up.

I like how you have changed the style of the decor to suit your new home. I too believe that, figuratively speaking, each home speaks to us as to how it needs to be decorated. I loved your style in your Victorian home, and I love your new home style too! I also love your encouragement to pick up a paintbrush and have fun with the process. Wow wow wow that is stunning! I was an art teacher for 25 years and I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember and I have never thought about painting a piece of furniture! Da! I deco podge but now I’m going to look for a beating piece to paint a scenery on! Wow I loved the sailboats but I live in western SD and it wouldn’t pit my cabin style but a mountain sene would look awesome for here. Your a very talented artist! Love the canvas work! I like watching you paint. I too used to do painting and learned oils but life got in the way and I stopped. When I started my artwork again I began in acrylics (I have the same ones as you! Lol) and then got distracted with other projects. My husband keeps encouraging me to paint again but there is a little hesitation bc I feel so out of practice. What a lovely relaxed video. You make the painting process less intimidating somehow. I think the operative word is play. If you set out to produce a "masterpiece," you will never be happy with the results. Whereas if you're "playing," you allow yourself the grace of not being perfect or good enough. Self criticism is truly a killer of creativity. I did like both your paintings on the cabinet, but the kids holding hands wins for me. If it were my cabinet, I think I would prefer to paint the handles to blend in with their clothing. I thought maybe he could be holding a pail and she a shovel. Just as an added interest. But the simplicity you achieved is strikingly poetic. That's the beauty of imagination. It can take you anywhere.

I absolutely love these learning lessons and techniques.i don't do badly painting. it's getting dimension, the sponges give a whole new approach to what you can do even if it doesn't work out the first, second or tenth time, you learn each time you try it. Good morning Christina, I thought I'd shelve your weekly video for later, we had a cold wet weekend and I was just snug under a blanket, I did not move!! Today is Wednesday and I suddenly remembered there is a piece of precious art on this computer and my oh my, what beautiful work. I did love the sail boats yet the children made a stunning statement. The colours were so well chosen and the finished work was perfect. So loved the canvas painting, it was challenging but a breeze for you to do. Loved the sail boats you created, they so reminded me of the fisher men from Mozambique on their little boats and sail out on the vast ocean. In the photos you just see sea and sky and this lonely figure on the water, but what a statement! We all have different ideas of art, I am sure it would make a tremendous painting. the dogs are looking great, they are happy and so well behaved. Hello from Toledo Ohio!! #1 Words can't tell you how much we love your videos, everything you do, we love. thank you so much. #2 I have a small heard of weener dogs I LOVE! and trying to learn some tricks on painting the pups, would love to see you tackle your pups in a panting. #3 its soooo funny, maybe a year ago or so i was at a Joanne's fabric, after watching one of your videos and i went looking for yarn or something, I was in line.... and it was a really long line at the checkout. I saw like 3 other women in line with the same fabric I was looking for and I said...... where did you find that?! and I said I just watched your video, and 4 other woman said OMG WE LOVE THE RECLAIMED HEIRLOOM! and I stood there and talked to all these wonderful funny women about your videos and ended up trading phone #s and emails and chit chat all the time now. you should be so happy with yourself, look at all the fun and inspiration you bring us.

I've always wanted to have all the art work in my house to be done by me, and these last two video makes that idea even stronger. I loved the sailboats however the little guy is my favorite. I would love to see a video (in real time), where you paint something very simple and talk through the process. Thank you so much for sharing

I really enjoyed the sailboats both the painted ones and the fabric. I was in Mystic, Connecticut some years ago and it was a misty morning and the boats in the marina looked like your painting. For some reason I enjoy abstract landscapes but when it comes to people I enjoy realistic figures

Hello Christina, i thought the sailings boats were fantastic, actually brilliant, i did like the boy and girl too, i do think you should paint the boats again, on some other project maybe, also the cloth sails were so good on the driftwood, you do come up with some great projects.
