Very helpful video! Most opticians just don't take the time to fit frames properly - I've been wearing spectacles since I was 8 and have never had a proper first time fit.

This was an awesome video. My glasses have been falling off for a while and I was wondering why fixing the hinge screws or nose pads didn’t really help. Fact was that the glasses were too loose around the ear.

Personally, I have gone from wearing smaller frames to larger frames I also think it helps my peripheral vision. It may also look a bit trendier, so I will keep that particular adjustment in mind.

Thanks for sharing Robert. What about acetate frames? Can or should make the adjustments by ourselves or is it better to visit an optician? Reykjavik frames are easy adjustable with no fear of damaging them. That;s not the case with acetate frames, especially with the thin ones. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to adjust the position of the frame after getting lenses done for them. I mean the step of making them sit under the eyebrows. Because it might be that the pupil is at a different point of the lens?

Hi Robert. I would like to know if adjusting the bow angle on my glasses will negatively affect my progressive prescription. The optician adjusted them because they were pressing against my temples but he did it by bending the temples which made them look crooked.

I first had a frame from them over 50 years ago, and in the last 15 years, I exclusively wore their minimalist rimless titanium frame. I have one last question, i have a pair of aviator sunglasses. And i never seen anyone talk about this adjustment or shown how to do it, or if its even a real adjustment. I say even if its real, because maybe im crazy. But for me, my aviators fit correct in all areas except one. To me, it looks like my glasses are off center of my face by a tiny little bit. But i dont know if thats a real issue or not. But i seen all the adjustments for if they sit crooked on face. But i NEVER seen anyone show if a pair of glasses is off center by a little bit and how to center them on face. So could you or someone make video or just explain what needs to be done if this is real and im not crazy?

What about when the frame is acetate and the temples are metal? They dont have metal above the hinge. The hinge just connects into the acetate. Im trying to fix them being slanted 😭

I believe most frames don’t need heating you just want to work very slowly. Heating might cause you to mishandle or shapen the frame too much which could lead to strain or damage and potentially increase the risk of the frame becoming brittle or breaking depending on the material.

As long as I can buy glasses with 135mm temples I don't have a problem, the problems start when I have to buy 140mm or 145mm temples, they bend too far around my ears and stick in. When buying metal frames with longer temples many opticians used to snip a bit off and replace the temple tip, but that appears to have become a dying art. I am now having older [but good] frames reglazed because they are a good fit. Frame manufactures should have all size temples and just have to either order a different size temple and replace or come with the 3 sizes 135/140/145 mm and be able replace For this reason I don't buy plastic frames unless they have metal temples

Can you make same video but without using those frames. Because those are to easy to fix problems. Its better to show video of metal frames that are the every day every mans frames that are harder to adjust. Because the majority of us wont have those easy to adjust frames. ✌️
