I started longboarding in April, and after getting intimidated and discouraged trying to do some tricks very advanced longboarders were teaching that I couldn’t performed, I stopped. Didn’t know really where to start to see progress. This video encouraged me to start again, start small, with each steps. I did fall and hurt my elbow(Pls wear protective gear!), but I’m happy to say after one night I was able to do the 180 step.🙌 Thank you for making these videos!!😃

Nice vid, I like how it still looks " amateurish" compared to the pro's because it shows new people how you can expect to do them instead of the superflowy steps that the pro's do, keep it goin :)

I saw one where they wanted you to do it while carving immediately... like hell no that’s too scary :) Baby steps and I might be able to get over the hump

Been long-boarding for a few months and I made up something sorta similar to the ghost ride; I jump off the board and push it forward with my left (I ride regular), and after a few secs of running next to the board going full speed I jump back on. It’s great if your calf is sore from pushing and you need a quick speed-boost :)

I love watching your videos. I am from Amsterdam. Since a week I have a longboard. As a child I had a skateboard, and believe me, I was much better back then. I am 53 now, and very self aware when I am skating, and falling. It's a good lesson also to not give a fuck. I like your paper, you re very serious about it. Love that! Thanks!

I got the same deck off my friend but the risers make it really hard to do the ghost step so I was thinking of taking them off. Wasn’t sure if I needed them or not tho

i probably spent a day or two just familiarizing myself with kicking and turning, but then just tried to do tricks once i got comfortable. it's definitely a mental game too

I've been longboarding for 3 weeks now anr recently got the Ghost ride, my first trick, down. I didn't realize that when people say "jump back on the board" they mean JUMP. I've been taking thousand little steps before stepping on it again and I ended up stopping my board. Well now I actually jump on it and it is much easier that way. I wanna learn Peter pan or cross step next but I can't seem to stand with my knees crossed for more than half a second. Any advice?

That's awesome! It helps to practice with your board in the grass so it's not rolling all over the place a few times. Besides that, I think you just have to go for it! It's really a mental game at that point.
