Just clean signal direct to desk via radial di box. No fx. All sound is a result of the super quad pickups and onboard glockenklang preamp. Bass control just boosted a little and treble a little.

Thank you!.. :) I used to use 5-string D'Addario ProSteels (40-125) Super Light gauge... Recently tried the 5-string Ernie Ball Power Slinky (50-135) but the thickness of the 5th string is really putting me off... will try Dunlop Super Bright as well. um.. If it isn't too much trouble may i know if they are nickel wound or stainless steel?? Thanks again!... :)

@Zodasg

When you remove your fret finger, keep it on the string, no pressure, just a mute. I'm not sure if this is entirely correct, but it works just fine for me

New strings. Correct bass setup and from that point on it's all about developing a clean slap technique. The course takes you step by step through all of the technique from the absolute basics. Ironically, most of the problems come from bad fretting hand technique because that's where all the muting and choking is done.

+Erick Marshall Are you pushing the string down with the thumb? It's not a push. It's a bounce.
@schnabeldoktor229
@schnabeldoktor229 8 жыл бұрын
be sure to lift your finger off the string as soon as you hit it. it's a very, very fast and strong hit when you slap it. be sure to have a fretted bass, as *usually* fretless basses can't pull the sound off.
