I started with your baked potatoes in the bottom, then put together a meatloaf, wrapped it in aluminum and put it on top of the potatoes, then I wrapped fresh broccoli in aluminum and put on the meatloaf, turned it on low, and had a complete meal when we got home from work and school.

Oh, I love using my slow cooker. I've tried most of the things in this video except for the onions and the onion soup. I've made cake and pudding. I've done a roast of beef, roast chicken, roast pork. I've done casseroles, beef stew, meatloaf, lazy lasagna...and yes, I've even made bread. I think I've even made corn bread. It's one of the BEST gifts my mom EVER gave me!!!

Thanks for the cornbread idea.

Wow! Who knew making bread could be so easy? Using the slow cooker to cook your meals eliminates the heat from the oven or stovetop in the summer. Then again cleanup as you say is so easy. This video is a keeper.

NO SUGAR FOR THE YEAST !?!?

You don’t need sugar for yeast, esp in something cooking so slowly. Yeast converts flour to sugar on its own…

2nd comment: Made the caramelized onions a few days ago and they were superb!! I will never cook caramelized onions on the stove again if I can help it. Made onion soup last night w/ beef broth and a splash of sherry as she suggested and the soup was restaurant quality.

I do ham like that all the time. So good! When I do my ribs in the crock pot I just cut them up, pour on a big can of tomato juice and spices. They come out so tender and I use the remaining juice over rice. Love it!

With the ham - I’m on board w the brown sugar in the bottom of the crock pot but darlin’ oh darlin’ for the top of the ham I’d smother it with Orange Marmalade of your choice - sweet or bitter - now that’s heaven to me lol . Just had an epiphany lol - anyone wants the proverbial taste of pineapple there is a pineapple jam - easy peasy - ( apricot would rock and so would cherry !!!! ) just sayin y’all !!!! waves from Anchorage Alaska 🤗💜💙❄️

When the pandemic first started, some non-profit organizations had access to government food. I was given a box that had a huge sack of onions. I can't stand raw onions, didn't know what to do with that many onions, but had the genius idea of French onion soup. Wow, used all of the onions and froze the leftovers. One of my successful cooking experiences.

I’m so glad you showed how easy it is to bake bread in a slow cooker! Great recipes👏👍! I like slow cooker bread better than bread machines because the loaf is always 😍. No holes from the mixer blade or paddle…my favorite way to eat sweet potatoes 🍠 is baked in the crockpot. I’ve yet to make pineapple upside down cake in mine yet, because I love it in the iron skillet, but I know it would be delicious baked in a slow cooker😋. Please keep the great ideas coming. I love that you and Chef John both use All Recipes because I admire both of you and your individual styles. All Recipes is a wonderful site for an abundance of good recipes.

Really enjoy your channel it is all about the cooking. I tried the bread in slow cooker recipe and it was great. My hubby and his dad could not get enough of it. I'm thinking the ribs, the bread (!!), and MAYBE the potatoes - I don't generally wrap my potatoes when I bake them because I prefer the crispy skin, but making them like this as a first step for "potato skins" would be outstanding. Thanks, Nicole!!!
