Good morning Tallahassee here, I don't know if you want to promote not turning off your Prime vehicle, due to the fact that DSPs contract every time you turn on and off your vehicle....😅 Not to mention it doesn't matter if the vehicle is on and your key fob is in your pocket, haven't you ever done the test, next time cut the vehicle on, give a secondary person your fob key and drive off see how far you get😮 You would then realize that as long as the vehicle is on it can travel wherever they go they just can't turn it off because it won't be able to restart without the fob......😢 People are in this the hard way, I learned this by teaching it to others. Seat belts😅 Makes you feel like you're not in the prime vehicles, while in these prime vehicles you are constantly surveillanced by the video's, placing your seatbelt is yes a good trick fast response in and out but also unsafe and still illegal, and the cameras catch every bit of it, so when you get in an accident and you find yourself harmed in a certain way your DSP can choose not to cover you because your seat belt wasn't securely fastened upon you, That's a risk that you take, and that that is also a risk that you place as you speak to your followers. The best way in quickest way that I found... 1. In loadout go ahead and put your first bag in the front of your seat, place a close basket in the passenger seat Hook a seat belt strapped within the bands of the basket to secure it, Play envelopes and small boxes inside of the basket, The big box is within the bag place on the floor of the passenger side door, Now your first bag is ready to go to your first stop You can save 15 to 20 minutes. 2. Sort your truck throughout the day at least three or five times. 3. If you choose to switch your phone instead of using the scanner from your DSP understand also that all these customers will have access to your phone number versus the DSPs, if you're comfortable with knowing that people you don't know will be calling you all types of the night to ask questions about their future packages then go ahead and go that route.... I use my phone as a backup in case the DSP scanner does go down I have a backup but it is the last option. (Trust me when I say customers if they have access to any number doesn't matter if you're on the clock or not they will call you or message you to ask for future references or questioned about their packages) 3. Pin code passwords-on these I'll stay in contact with the customers all day long, I'll tell them that I have left the station and I'm on the way to their city or state, I'll text them This is your Amazon driver I'll be at your location within 30 minutes or an hour depending on how close I am, I set times an appointment with these customers I build relationships. 4. Understand you are your own manager within your vehicle Your Prime vehicle is your office, You are your own secretary, The choices are yours in that day of that day Be strong of your day, treat the customers as your family, text them as often as you can and update them when you're on your way or when you have trouble because they expect and do time great delivery service.

First bag in from left to right, first bag out. That's what we're taught during the training. The seat belt hack sounds helpful, but it's not the proper way to wear it when driving in general. You can get a ticket if pulled over by traffic police. I also suggest using your personal phone in an emergency situation.

This dude bouta have hella ppl fired quickly… don’t listen to him. First they have EOC which is engine off compliance. This tracks daily and shows the percentage in which the van was actually powered on and off at each stop.Second there is a camera system called netradyne which is going to easily snitch you out with plugging in your seatbelt behind you. I can continue with all the flaws in his system but hopefully you get the just of it. 👍🏽 best of luck

Yeah you can tell you’re new, number one you’re supposed to turn your van off 80% of your stops. Number two using your own phone is a horrible idea you notice your phone battery will die a lot faster than those Motorola phones and you know why your phone is laggy? Because you didn’t update your flex app when you started out the day. I’ve been doing this since October 2019, and this is sone pretty bad advice. What will make you move faster is making a routine that works best for you put your packages in order by the sticker number making it easier to find, and here’s a TIP for you on the way to your first stop have your work phone plugged in all the way to your first stop which will help keep your work phone from dying. The faster you go the faster your work phone dies why? Because you’re constantly using your phone.

FYI. FLEX APP WILL EASILY CORUPT UR PERSONAL PHONE. I've been with it I've been doing it for over 4 years with Amazon and FedEx the with FedEx they give you a rabbit. I never use my personal phone for the Amazon Flex because it corrupts your phone and it causes have all sorts of issues. I always take two dsp phones for my route

Which dsp you at? They hiring? All I get for finishing early is glorious rescues 😒 try timing up your last stop around your 9th hour for those who don’t get paid out for the whole day with an early finish. Get your own charger, I know most kits come with it but I know I can’t be the only one who gets cords/chargers that don’t work. It’s annoying to get your own but it’s a huge help. LEARN YOUR ROUTE. Probably the biggest tip. Once you’re familiar with it you’ll notice some areas/streets that it has you come back to multiple times throughout the day sometimes. Typically the areas that do this are always the same for me so when i finish a area I check my map view to check the surrounding areas and alot of the time there will be some stops near you that aren’t scheduled till later but I’ve been finishing whole areas first before moving to the next. Empty your tote and keep envelopes and bags up front with you, boxes in the back. Get your envelopes/bags first then boxes since boxes are typically easier to find so I do that last.

My advice is to stay inside the vehicle when looking around a complex for an apartment number because you will be surprise how much time you spent walking around looking for the apartment number(s) without your van on foot. Park absolutely anywhere you are not blocking cars and turn on your emergency lights, so people know its temporary parking. Always use your GPS when trying to find apartments (because apartments such as 100 and 101 are not always next to each other) and if you are trying to go behind a building on foot, most entrances in the middle usually lead to dead ends which are mostly: playgrounds, swimming pools, and patios. Take the far corners around the building and you will mostly find hidden numbers you couldn't see (especially for apartment buildings in corners). Most apartment layouts are usually weird and not straight forward like houses. They like making residents walk all the way around 2 to 3 conglomerate apartments buildings to get to their apartment number... The ones that have 62, 64, 66, 68 have 61, 63, 65, 67 almost always on the direct other side of the building. The most complicated buildings are the ones that have apartment numbers labeled in a triangular conglomerate building: some have 51 54, 57, 60 on one side, then 52, 55, 58, 61 on the other side, and 53, 56, 59, 62 on the other side (all like in a triangular idea from 3 main points). Most residents don't even know the layouts where they live and are mostly useless to ask information about this... The worst part is always trying to gain access inside the apartment vehicle gate which is a nightmare on wasting time. If this is a huge problem, skip it and come back later to it...

thank you. I'm working gig jobs right now while I'm in school before I land my dream job as a construction project manager, and was happy to be making about $150 per peak pay block on DoorDash. I thought driving for a delivery service partner would be potentially more stable for the next month or so, but I'm really hesitant after reading about the insane amount of stops and fast pace they demand. I only do about 15 stops for my DoorDashes during the 2-hour block, and I would get between 130 to $200 on average. I guess that's because I don't pick dashes that are less than $12 usually, if it's really dead, I won't dash at all. but I see Amazon wants their drivers to make a crazy amount of stops! lol And then they want you to go the speed limit and they have cameras and they monitor everything, I read they even monitor the seat belt clicks because their vans are basically Smart cars, they can detect when doors are open, when the engine is on and off, when the seat belts are clicked, the camera can give them further information like if it's being worn properly, etc. it sounds very stressful and I think I would snap! I guess I'll just stick with DoorDashing. I wanted to take some of the heat off of my vehicle but it I should be landing a full-time position soon as a project manager. I don't have that much longer to get out of school😅

@saruki9506 when you get your loading list in the morning after you scan your carts and have your bags loaded, scroll through your oversize list and look at the drive aid LETTER from top to bottom. Group your oversize by letter with the letters that appear first toward the front of the van and the letters that appear last toward the back of the van. That will be the order they are delivered. Just be mindful of the order that the letters appear because it won’t always go in order. The letters will look like 1A, 2A, 1B, 2B, etc. you don’t have to worry about the number until you’re an expert, just group them by letter as they appear on your packing list from front to back you’ll never have to dig in the back of the van, you’ll just naturally work through the pile. also, if the piles somehow don’t get loaded in order but they’re still grouped by letter, you can always refer to the driver aid stickers from packages on your current tote. Those letter will always match the ones of the oversize you’re looking for (because those oversize packages are linked to the tote they’re technically “supposed” to be in, they’re just too big to fit! Lol) goodluck! 👍🏼

A HUGE time saver is getting assigned to a CDV. They are the ones with the large passenger sliding door you can leave open. Sure, it only takes a second to open a door, but when you don't have to, an you can just jump in an out an not deal with it, those seconds actually add up quite a bit!

Mydsp does not pay for the whole day if you finish early not only that but we can't use our own phones it's a special app that's downloaded on their phones that you can't get with your phone

It’s not worth it going faster my DSP will reward you the next day with more packages :). Not to mention only a handful of people are on guarantee which mean I’d rather take my time to get my hours.

Don’t use your personal phone. Keep it charged for emergency. Deliver your first stop then go airplane mode so you don’t lag and can change delivery point easy and fast. Go out of airplane mode every hour or so so it updates to dispatch, then go back in. Make sure you’re off before you get back

Yes, navigation still works. The problem with all these Amazon tips is that most are DSP specific.

All you gotta do is separate all your boxes and envelopes and put them upfront and once you you drop off your current order look for your next items before going to your next stop unless it’s close but the only way to finish early is to hustle lol but I understand some people have issues

Some people are slow navigators others are physically weaker, slow driving etc. Im pretty new and doing barely decent my problem is keeping the momentum but slowly improving.

This is all for the old folks like me that has hard time with the small print when I organize my overflow I'll look at the three numbers on the sticker and I have a big black magic marker that I marked the top of my boxes should I leave my seat to look for my overflow I'll be able to read the numbers on the top of the box makes it easier for me makes it quicker as well

In the uk it’s illegal to just leave your engine running. Health and safety is actually important due to if the vehicle moves due to the engine being on and then other mistakes happen like accelerator accidents

my seatbelt and ignition compliance are the same. 160-180 stops with 50 groupstops a day. im just quick with my hands to all of those things.

It’s a bit annoying because sometimes I finish at 7 or 6 and if there is no rescues I kind of take a pay cut but they make me feel bad if I take my time so it’s like what’s the point

What’s the point of getting done early? It’s not like most DSP send you home. They always send you wanna rescue. At least on my DSP. That’s why there’s no point in finishing before 7 o’clock.

Lol the seatbelt part lol our DSP told us if they see us doing that you could get terminated right away . Also parking in a handicap spot lol and if you don't fill up with gas or leave your van dirt it also can lead up too a write up . My DSP dose not mess around
