Thanks for making this video I was never shown this and I had a hard time my first day out , it should be common sense but I’ve never done a job like this before and they skipped my orientation on day one no Van test etc just straight to delivering, your video has helped me a lot thanks again

This is another great way to organize and deliver fast, now when u get overflow you'll still haft to go to the back of the van because it won't be enough space but most stops will be without overflow so this is another great way to organize

I had 190 stops two days ago with 311 packages. 21 totes and roughly 24 overflow. However, I use the EDV amazon van.
@LLStacheLarry10 ай бұрын
Yes I can see that. The first time I did amazon flex I use my car.. OMG it took me for ever had no idea what I was doing. The packages not organize. Was not happy on how long it took me. That was the first and last time I did it. The was a couple years ago thinking of doing it again since I found this video.

This only would work for residential. Not so much on apartments, I actually use the driver aid stickers as well. When your loaded down though with what a normal count like 18-21 totes and 37 oversized packages. It’s almost impossible. Not to mention amazon has done away with group stops. They have made our job even harder
@afreload10 ай бұрын
Yeah when they throw a mix of businesses/residential and apts I don't even sort that 😅
@ambursisk70657 ай бұрын
It doesn’t matter where you’re delivering 😂😂😂😂 you still need to organize your packages! Literally the absolute most important part! If you spend 30 seconds looking for a package for 180 stops that’s 3 hours you spend looking for your fucking package 😮
@ambursisk70657 ай бұрын
Or you can spend 15 mins beginning of your shift and 15 in the middle and organize everything and then you can bust out 40- 50 stops an hour

So, when the van is full, all of your boxes would be on the floor or do you put them on the shelves?

@@montrealdriver yeah and don't try to be an overachiever. My 1st day on my own I was in San Francisco with 12 totes and 23 overflow. I tried to take every single package to the customers front door whether the elevators worked or not. If they have mail rooms or receptionist areas, just take them there unless specified by the customer. I got like 5 packages rescued from the more experienced guys that day. Lol

How about trying to hide the names and addresses when you make such a video. This is bad as it has PII including names with addresses. As you are in Canada, review PIPEDA before someone sues you.

What happens when u finish ur route early ? Aside from being used to rescue someone.. do you get to go home. Or does base give more packages to deliver ?
@dylanlhotak752215 күн бұрын
Prob go and sweep or it just ends. I’m lucky, I have a guaranteed 40 hours but work four 10s - so if I finish in 7 hours I get paid for 10. But only like 1% of DSP’s allow that lol. I also average 180-190 stops per shift but I’m good at busting out 30 an hour if it’s residential.
@RichDaDon300 Жыл бұрын
Most dsp don’t provide that bin, I use to do that number thing too, now I just organize everything by street
@afreload10 ай бұрын
After delivering for about 2 years, you'll know that not every route is the same, for exp. If I'm delivering in a same area, one day I get 150 stops for 8h, next day 135 stops for the same amount of time, 😅
@hurtcobain328210 ай бұрын
