They didnt mention any of the actual skills that makes a support good, like ADCs core skill to learn would be positioning and kiting. 1. Awerness. ADCs can be a little more self center, focusing on themselves and the enemies, as anything has the potential to one shot them. For supports you need to see the whole battle, both your teams and enemies position, so you can react to an attack or follow up a teammates action. Usually supports kits are less complicated, which translate better for these types of priorities. A different example would be Mercy from OW. You dont even have to aim to heal, but knowing where every player of your team is and at what state, as well as the positions of threats like genji become more important and is what a good mercy would need to practice. 2. Priorities. Its important to know whos the threat from the enemy and whose a carry from your own team. Maybe their kha is 1--3 -but their Ahri ended up 8-2. You need to mentaly know in an ideal scenario where are you gonna use your ignite or cc or your shield. Maybe your adc has no dmg and its better to support your fed jungler instead. Ofcourse things can go weird and you need to adapt instead of following a set pattern, its always good to be prepared and establish resources that you need to spend on who ahead of time. 3. This one is imo the most important one. Timing. This is the most common mistake that when I fixed I felt I became a much better support. Supports often spam their abilities in an attempt to feel useful and create value. I clearly remember using Jannas Q fully charged on like 4 people. It did NOTHING.Another time I was feeling safe so I didnt spam anything on the enemy that charged at us for baron, I randmly Qed him, cancelimg his whole charge and rendering him useless with one ability. Thats what supports like Janna, Lulu or Nami are. You are looking for that one ability that can make a 10-1 Riven useless. Its important to use them correctly and timing is everything. You can see this sometimesif you check Afromoo. He uses his abikities very conservativly and onlh when needed.

QOTD: poke supports, but for me, specifically bard. I'm a jungle main, so playing a champ that can both provide some method of starting fights, as well as roaming and aiding the team as necessary, fits right at home for me.

The problem is, it's hard to figure out how a matchup should go when your laner also doesn't understand how a lane should go. I'd argue Ezreal never has a powerspike, because the people who play him just afkfarm and stay permapushed under tower eating lux e's.

If your laner is trash, just play as roaming support and make sure mid and top carries.

I'm a tank player and love tank supports like Alistar and Braum, yet sadly after the durability patch I can't play them.as much because they just can't win. They have CC, but can't output enough damage to aid the ADC in killing. Tanks also benefit the least from the durability patch as resistances are hyperbolic in scaling, so the more resistances I have, the less each point is worth. The increase in resistances for all champs allows squishies to build less resistances and survive while tanks still die if the tanks don't build damage. And a tank support is already a secondary tank

KEKW ezreal can play safe, theoretically he can stay safe, but my platin adcs prefer to fight 1v2 instead of waiting till I come back from roam. I fking hate soloq as supp main!

Jinx does have hard CC, her chompers root enemies, though they are easy to avoid Edit: Iove to play supports that keep my allies alive. The whole reason i switched to support is cause one game i saved the mid laner from Lux with "Ace in the hole" and realized, that moment was the most satisfying moment I've had in League

I have nothing to do with Support role, but I wanna try something new, Braum fits me the person I am, as personality. Any tips? Most important things about Braum, when to pick, synergies and what are the key parts

Braum passive is really important, whenever I feel like locking him in I usually do so when my adc can stack it quick or synergizes with it. For example Kalista already wants to attack the same target as her support so she can be a good combo. Also don't forget that you can engage with your Q if your team had good follow up, your E grants movement speed and don't forget that. Disclaimer: I don't play Braum but I main support. Hope this helps at all.

With someone that has 300 hours on Braum. Don’t play him. He isn’t any tankier than anyone else, he isn’t very good at engaging, and he has okay peel. If you want to play braum just play yasuo in support, he has a better shield (wind wall) better engage, better kill potential, and he’s scary enough to have good peel.

In lower ranks it is better to play tanky support as everyone will pick lots of damage champs and won't build any tank items. Braum is a good start. However for Braum or tank support you should not pick them when enemy team has poke/bully support since laning phase will be hell, if you play with noob ADC in lower ranks you will get snow-balled and lose the game if none of the team mates can carry. Higher ranks ADC maybe doing better but it will affect their CS, and with S13 tank support are not doing so well, if your ADC can't deal enough damage then you will lose the game. For Braum poke with Qwhenever enemy ADC goes for cs, landing Q is the most important thing since Braum doesn't have engage skill, protect your ADC in combat with shield, exhaust and ult as many enemies as possible.

Im a soraka main..and i do my job pretty good..not perfect but rlly good..i carry most of the time and my team domt dont much as i tank and heal at the same gime(i just build 1heal item and the rest tank) we won a lot of games bc of it..ive fed my adc well..but ofc..only adc gets honor..nobody even thank you or honor u..ur just like u dont exist..and that makes me sad a lil:/ sups always hear.."YEAH UR ROLE IS SOOO EASSYY! and im like?-?
