Hello, First of all, I would like to say that I am very impressed by your professional approach and the passion that is visible in each of your videos. I have been building various things to play with my son out of cardboard for some time now and your tips make everything easier. I would like to ask you something, maybe you will be able to help - we discovered that the moldings left from board games are a very hard and durable type of cardboard, but we don't know what it's called. Can this type of cardboard be purchased separately?

Thank you for the very encouraging comment and I am honored that my videos have helped you make projects with your son. I remember crafting by myself as a child and it would have been so special to do things with my parents (they're wonderful parents, they just didn't craft with me) 😄. About the cardboard from board game boxes, I believe that it would be called chipboard. However, the thin cardboard that cereal boxes are made out of is also called chipboard. I believe that you can buy it in different weights, just like you can buy thinner or thicker paper. I have never ordered any but you might be able to find a dedicated hobbyist website from which you can order the specific kind of chipboard. You might also be able to find it on Amazon, but I am less hopeful about that. In my experience, Amazon does not always have super niche crafting supplies. I hope this helps! God bless you, - Eli

Would dipping the entire assembled pieces of cardboard in hardening acrylic lacquer actually make a rigid final product, or will the cardboard soak too quickly even if removed from the dip right away? Or maybe coat with a liquid barrier first before dipping?

That is a great question and I don't have a perfect answer for you. My guess is that the cardboard would deform a little bit but be mostly fine as long as it already had some good structural support. In my attempts to harden cardboard, I've always brushed on the hardener. Brushing on epoxy works pretty well and I've also tried it with wood glue. Here's a video of me testing out some cardboard hardening live: kzbin.infoiy_UytTFYtI?feature=share I wish I could help you more! - Eli
