@KickedTripodYT4 жыл бұрын
A.N Travel currently you need to have the Wave mic.
@the_RCB_films4 жыл бұрын
Wave mic unlocks the software, but you can use any mic, as long as the wave mic is plugged in. Which means you can route a higher quality mic with its own mixer and everything, route that to Nvidia broadcast, and then nvidia broadcast to wave link. lmao its silly, but holy crap is it amazing that way. But yeah it can use any mic as long as you have the wave. Which btw just set up a bunch of mics all around you and give your self 360 degrees of audio >:)

You didn't bring up the ridiculous audio delay when using an external audio source aka a DAC
@KickedTripodYT4 жыл бұрын
I did in my full review video. Though I’m not sure 35ms is ridiculous for anything other than monitoring your voice. If it’s longer than that you might have something flopped in your settings.

Can wave link capture party chat on console without splitter? Xbox or ps4?
@KickedTripodYT4 жыл бұрын
Having a Wave Mic doesn't do anything to help you route your console to your computer. Once you've routed the audio to your computer though, you can use the Wave Link App to control the volumes. You can send party chat through HDMI/Optical and it'll capture your game/party chat/game chat together, otherwise you'll need a Chat Splitter/USB audio card of sorts. NOTE: USB audio cards are only supported by PS4 and not Xbox.

Okay thanks

I know you can run the xbox game chat software through the computer and as far as game audio goes you could also run an aux cable from the monitor to the pc to get the game audio to run on the pc.

Im still a bit confused about the power levels. Can anyone help me? My headset is connected directly to the mic (wave 1). What should my "windows sound settings" should be? Is it better if I leave all my programs at 100%, same with the master level of my PC and just change volumes through the wave link? Or what should the levels be? And also, pls, the volume wheel in the mic, does it just change my headset volume or is directly affecting master levels for everything else? Thanks in advance!

Can I hear game audio through the 0 latency monitor jack?
@KickedTripodYT4 жыл бұрын
A 0-latency monitoring jack is called that because your voice is only processed on the microphone and then immediately shot out of the jack, whereas non-0-latency monitoring jacks go from your mic, to your computer, through some driver or software, and then back out through the mic (adding latency). All of your computer audio doesn't have latency because it isn't taking the extra trip from your mic to the computer and back. Sorry that's a long answer to say, "Yes, you can listen to game audio through the 0-latency monitoring jack without latency."

I would like to use the headphone jacked on the mic, but they have the terrible rustle noises. Am I the only one?
@KickedTripodYT3 жыл бұрын
Probably not the "only" one, but I can't say it is common. Obvious steps are to try various headphone cables (specifically TRS and TRRS). I believe the Wave mics only have a TRS jack while many computers have TRRS inputs for microphone inputs.

How do you give more power to your headphones ? I have a problem where my stream is very loud but my headphones are low
@KickedTripodYT3 жыл бұрын
There's a few potential issues: 1. Make sure your headphone volume is turned all the way up in the Elgato Wave app as well as in Windows preferences for your headphone output. Also make sure that you set the volume on the Elgato Wave mic (assuming its a Wave:3). 2. Make sure your adjusting for your headphones and your stream separately. With submixes in the Elgato Wave Link app, you can turn it up as loud as you want in your headphones and turn it down for your stream. 3. You have high impedance headphones that need more juice than the mic can provide in which case there is not a straightforward solution.

Quick queston: if i get a wave 1 will i have the full wavelink functionality as far as controlling each audio source? or is that only with the wave 3?

The features you get in the software are exactly the same. What you don't get are the additional control knob on the front, the capacitive mute, and the higher bitrate.

I have no idea how to use the fucking "Zero latency monitoring" thing. I don't hear anything if I mute the Wave 3 in my headphones :s helmp
@KickedTripodYT4 жыл бұрын
You need to have your headphones plugged directly into the Elgato Wave:3 microphone. From there, on the microphone, make sure you've selected the 3rd icon (the one that looks like an X) and adjust the 0-latency-monitoring balance as you see fit. If it's all the way to the right, you wont hear any of the 0 latency monitoring. If it's all the lights are lit up, you wont hear your microphone at all via 0-latency monitoring. If none of the lights are on, you wont hear any of your PC sounds.
