Definitely. He wasn’t even a top 3 player in most points leagues. SMH. He’s obviously washed and should drop to, say, pick 8?

A Blackhawks fan in one of my leagues drafted Bedard over McDavid. My head almost exploded. The guy drafting next must have thought he was seeing things.

Good takes. A lot depends on your league settings though. Jarry and Huberdeau are waiver wire adds at best

Would you be willing or interested in doing a few episodes focused on keeper leagues?? A bunch of us used to do a keeper league and we have decided to start it up again fresh. Having a hard time finding draft strategy content for keeper league inaugural drafts. I'm confident in my knowledge but it would be nice to have some draft rankings for keeper leagues. Easiest example is connor Bedard, he's a 3rd or 4th round pick in a 1 year league but no doubt a first round pick in a keeper league. When do you pick the fantilli, Cooley, michkov, celebrini types over a proven scorer in his late 20's? Completely different thought process in a keeper league draft.

Here we go again. Annual avoid Marchand video. Always great PPP, PIM, GWG and very good G, A, HIT, +/- . Despite injuries, he was top 20 player even last year in categories leagues.

Marchand has been declining by 10 pts per season . Over 3 season . Also playing on team Canada, Four Nations cup. This will add to his work load. Even if he stays healthy, which is unlikely…. Bruins will be looking to use “load management” to rest this veteran player. To get him in top form for playoffs
@aidanticknor5187

He had three different injuries last year and played with scrubs. Now he’ll be with lindholm and pasta finally being healthy.. this is a terrible take watch him out up 95+ points

@parkersmith-gp9xb Ай бұрын
@@aidanticknor5187 that’s 3 different reasons to fade him, this year. I’m predicting he misses a fair bit of action this year, and comes in shy of the 69 point mark……. We’ll see.

Pens actually got better when Guentzel left which baffled everyone.IDC about goalies at all I pick whomever is on a good team.Huberdeau needs scorers around him because he is not a scorer he is only a passer similar to Thornton but not as tough as Joe was. I have not looked over the rosters enough to make legit picks for a Fantasy league but offhand I can't think of anyone who will be an absolute surprise steal.I would say maybe a hawks player could be a steal if Bedard elevates his game but in a Fantasy pool I also want PLUS players because it is still one category every bit as valuable as a goals or assists .

I will hope to god my league members would see this video and allow Brad Marchand to drop. He’s going to continue to get all the ice time in the world in Boston, PP1, PK1, consistently top 3 in team scoring, I will gladly take Brad Marchand in the later rounds once again this year. 60+ point player practically guaranteed
@parkersmith-gp9xb
@parkersmith-gp9xb Ай бұрын
I didn’t see him on PP1 towards the end of last season, or in the playoffs much If I rember correctly , but I may be wrong . Sports books have his over/under point total set at 68.5 or 67.5 for the season . … I’m all over the under in this one. Especially at 68.5. He had 67 last year. But that was in a full 82 game season. I don’t see any chance of him getting anywhere near 82 games this year. Especially when you add additional games for team Canada (four nations cup).

@galkanftw Ай бұрын
Marchand did drop to his worst +/- in many years so he is likely fading. Boeser is abit tough because he had an amazing jump in plus/minus but of course your surrounding players make that happen.Another positive he did maintain HQ play in the playoffs but his S% will most definitely drop his shot total was good again 2/gm in the playoffs so he should be around 30-35 and maybe 78-85pts.Boeser able to still produce in the playoffs is quite a feat because the officiating was absolutely garbage they allowed teams to interfere on the forecheck which limited offensive chances by a lot. Reinhart will obviously drop so as long as you realize his real potential then he is still a good pick.IMO 39-43-82 pts and less on the PP maybe 27. I happen to be a Dallas fan and the reason THEIR players are bad picks is because they spread out the ice time and PP over 3 lines and that is why Robertson dropped off.

Nobody is taking Huberdeau. Or Pierre Luc Dubois. Marchand is coming off three surgeries. Reinhart is a 30 goal 70 point guy. Didn't know Jarry ended that poorly. Thanks

a player who is being drafted at ADP 159 is a "must avoid" ? more like a late rd dart throw/lotto ticket
@fantasypuck
@fantasypuck Ай бұрын
There's a lot of great players late in drafts that either provide more upside or are in better positions to be a league winner. Huberdeau also still maintains some name value that people will recognize that aren't as familiar with some of the better options in that range.

@graemescott5282 Ай бұрын
@@fantasypuck I'm not a fan of Huberdeau either, but calling a player who scored over a 100 points just 3 seasons ago with an ADP of 159,(mid rd 13 pick), a must avoid player? There are much better examples of players to avoid at their ADP IMO. Kreider, Forsberg, Eichel and Ovechkin all guys I'm avoiding at ADP

Agree with 4 of the 5 Reinhart has duel position, and as silly as it sounds, he can put up 40-45 g and 40-45 a. His deployment is great, key post on a strong pp. While goals will regress, he may increase his assists. Very efficient shot historically, so that normalizes to 17-18% again. I would draft him ahead of Aho and Robertson . To each there own though

No Kreider? I thought you said in a mock he was one your must avoids. Just curious as to why? I assume his ADP? I got him as a steal last season and he was a league winner. Lots of PP points, hits, and goal heavy which is great for my league format.

I find he is going too early. He is obviously good, just less than other players available at that time. Like most players, there is a pick where they are worth it.
@fantasypuck

yeah with him its mostly ADP, Kreider is still a solid 35 goal guy with good shot and hit totals, not really actively avoiding him just seem to be looking elsewhere in drafts in his range.
